Quote in the Times from Isaac Hayden:

“I don’t think there can be a question that they are the best fans in the country. We have an average attendance of 51,000 for a second division team. I don’t believe anybody who gets relegated would get that. Look at Sunderland — would they have that loyalty? Even in the Premier League, when you watched [them at the Stadium of Light] there were red seats everywhere. I don’t think they will get 40,000 in the Championship when they don’t fill the stadium in the Premier League.

I read it on HITC.

It was a deliberate quote about us. He's just trying to ingratiate himself with the mag fans.

He must either have a contract coming up for renewal or he's worried about being moved on.

Struggled for the majority of the season in that second division.

Not exactly expecting him to pull up trees next year in the relegation battle.

After Steven Taylor and now this prick the Mags seem to have some kind of contract that they have to have a gobby, ****e defender who mouths off about Sunderland on their books.

Never heard of him. If he's a Newcastle player he's presumably in the ****e to mediocre bracket, by default.

Who cares what a nobody thinks. We only dropped below 40,000 because we went down and have Mr moyes as manager .

How many plastic Geordies would of turned up if they got relegated and still have ginger Steve as manager? I would say there attendances would dropped off to.

Plus Let's see how long there take next season till they get on rafa back<ok>
