It's fact. The chemical reactions, the energy expenditure, all of it is pure, hard, fact.

Because their body burned their fat reserves and the many calories in their ration packs. They would have felt like **** and felt drained, but the mental fortitude of years of commando training meant that they fought their way through it.

The same thing applies to players like Tiote and Ba. They ran around for the full 90 mins as expected, but they would have been void of energy and sluggish. When you compare that to the players around them performing at their peak, they were never going to do very well on the pitch. The agility, the speed, the mental sharpness and most of the endurance just isn't there.

Gonna repeat this again just to make sure you absorb it:

Even then though, you're still wrong, even about the rations. They are designed to provide thousands of calories for the strenuous activity of a solider.

So, whilst you think soldiers may be in high-intensity situations whilst deprived of energy and nutrients, they are in fact eating thousands upon thousands of calories worth of food in high-carb meals, enough to sustain them. Such meals would make any ordinary man fat in a very short period of time. However, due to the caloric requirement of active duty, it just gives them the energy they must burn to keep going.

Obviously though, all of these facts and these quotes from army nutritionists are wrong, because energy to fuel the body actually comes from a magical dimension in unicorn land. <doh>

Tiote and ba suffered during Ramadan, that is obvious. After Ramadan tiote looks the player he was last season and ba is scoring freely. There the only facts I need to look at. Did Ramadan have an effect. I say yes, of course. If tiote is to be sold, then whoever buys him will have to cough up big style. He's got another 6 years on his contract.

I'm obsessed! Nah, I come here because I can have decent chats with most of you and you have one of the busiest boards so I know I can chat with other people. May not always agree but if everyone did, this site would be rubbish :)

    Chappaz daughter. "Dad!"

    Chappaz. "Yes pet?"

Chappaz daughter. "Dad can you get the sugar for my corn flakes, I can't reach it?" :)

Chappaz. "Look pet, sucrose in its refined form, when consumed is broken down by the body into glucose and other simpler sugars that are used by the body for producing energy. When this is done in small quantities, there is no real problem, but when sucrose is taken in and broken down into large amounts of simpler sugars, the blood gets a rush of these sugars which causes an imbalance in blood sugar levels.

As a general rule of thumb, the more refined the sugar you eat is, the more likely your body will react negatively way to it. In this sense, blood sugar levels are constantly rising and falling sharply when you ingest too great a volume of NME sugars. This is countered to some extent by the body’s own regulatory system in the form of insulin. Insulin is a hormone manufactured by the islets of Langerhans within the pancreas. Its main job is to regulate blood sugar levels. So when those levels get too high too quickly, insulin is released in large quantities to break those sugars down fast and return the blood sugar levels to equilibrium.

What happens is that you get a fast rush of energy from the sugar as it’s processed and released into the bloodstream. This is rapidly followed by a rapid drop in energy as the insulin does its work. You then eat more food or drink more liquids that contain high levels of NME sugars and the process begins again.

What this does is put a terrible strain on your pancreas in the constant creation and release of insulin. Eventually, the strain becomes too much and insulin production becomes erratic, meaning that blood sugar levels can no longer be effectively regulated. This leads to the onset of type II diabetes, which if not diagnosed and is allowed to degenerate further can lead to type I diabetes, which means having to manually injecting insulin to stay alive. OK pet, you know I'm always right!"

Is anybody answering the original question here ?

Scroll up to the top of this post and it asks what would be the best move for Tiote if he moves in January , not what does he have for his bait. This particular post has just degenerated into a slanging match totally ignoring the point.

I actually don't give a **** if he retires or transfers to Hartlepool as long as he takes his ****ing shopping list with him.

Rant over , thanks for listening.
