What if its one of Ashley's expansive cockney entourage on a wind up mission?
Still not making sense. Hes renaming the stadium to try an encourage the outside investment of a potential sponser, stoking the flames could only be seen as counter prductive as it would only deter potential naming sponsors

I still dont understand this stadium crap at Newcastle though.
Arsenals stadium is called Emirates, it has 1 sign Emirates Stadium with the Emirates sign and Emirates underneath it (as far as i can see) but thats the only mention of their sponsor.
Etihad Stadium has a sign outside, and 1 above the front entrance.
Sports Direct Arena, **** it, its St James Park (I cant even do it as a wind up
) has it plastered all over, which self respecting firm would really want that, it just looks tacky and not very good at all, its ****ing horrible actually, and i just dont understand why this will get companies in, if I was a company i would avoid it like the plague (Not just because its Newcastle but because of the takiness (sp) of it all)

Think it could be more a case of it being someone who Ashley knows, like Llambias's casino

I'm hoping against all odds that an already high-profile company boosts its image by buying the naming rights and simply naming it St. James' Park. They could then have their logo on there somewhere to remind everyone of who it was but i reckon that would be some positive publicity not just from Newcastle fans but also every fan who works all week and gets sick of how sold out and detached from reality Premiership football is.
I prefer Tiote as a player but as far as i can see no-one has even mentioned that we are comparing an Ivorian with a lad from the North-East. Its always good to have a bit of representation for the region going on so i hope Catts keeps doing well for you lot, but gets sent off in the first minute of the derby for injuring three of your players in a punch up.
