One that interests me is the 135+ for Black Caviar. Unbeaten in 16, and I suppose deserving of her rating. But I've long been a supporter of a horse called Kingston Town, an animal rated at 137. This is a horse that won 30 of 41 with 5 seconds and a couple of thirds thrown in. As good as Blackie is, I seriously don't think she's as good as the King was. For mine, he's the best horse this country has seen on 50 years. And for him to be rated only a couple of pounds in front of her is a shame. I see things like this and I'm left a little dismayed at the system.
