Ron, Roberto was a little before my time, I was only born in 1970, so I was 2 when he won, but I have seen videos of the race, and it was a hard fought victory, though I'd say there is little doubt Piggott was on the best horse that day! It's quite amazing that you were at Epsom for the 1972 Derby, my first Derby was the 81 race, and I've been to most of the renewals since. I'm in 2 minds wether to go this year, as I've got to the stage were the tele is just as good. I may go, it depends if I can swing things with she who must be obeyed
