Listening to Baldock on radio Bristol he knows that he needs to up his game and I think he may well do, I don't think subbing our captain would have given the right message to the team. I also think Gillet deservedly won man of the match, he was by far and away our best midfielder and fought hard for the ball.Think I might have been watching a different game to some.
Thought our "Newbie" was partly at fault for our first goal, although he got better as the game went on.
I am still worried that the Dons opened us up easily too often and could have had a few more themselves.
I also think we are crying out for some pace out wide, so why not try starting with Wes Burns?
and as my friend "Halfwayline" says why oh why don't we have someone on the halfway line at their corners free kicks etc. as it would give us an outlet and tie up a couple of defenders and maybe relieve some of the pressure when we hack back to the opposition.

Quite a few balls come from midfield and defence, too often JET is selfish and lazy and he disrupts the flow of the team. Baldock or JET? I'd choose Baldock any day.

even without Bamford, MK Dons are an attacking side with a good degree of flair. They scored goals against Wigan, who are a decent 1st Division side. We didn't lose to them over 2 games, and could have won both in my opinion.

Onto the next two, which will be a real test

Where would we be without JETS goals, i am interested to know what your thoughts are.

My take is I think we would be bottom of the table and way of the rest of the division and heading to division 4.

The same as we would be without Baldock's goals! the pkayer you're running down <doh>

JET is not Yaya Toure he is in league one for a reason. If he's as great as you say surely he would not have to drop down a league with Ipswich and Cardiff fans laughing at us. Granted his skills for 5 mins is fantastic but he just can't play simple football, it's got to be a sexy fick or lazy pass.
As the saying goes K.I.S.S keep it simple stupid

A striker who plays with the team may not score as many goals but he may play better with team resulting in more goals scored by the team and not just an individual as well as maybe less goals scored.

You say out of Baldock and JET you would choose Baldock <doh> Why choose between them?!?!?! **** players don't score 18 goals and a **** partnership don't score 33. We keep them both because both are capable of scoring. We are our biggest threat with both JET and Baldock in the team. Now how about we stop ****ing moaning about them and back them ffs...

Agree he can be a pain when it goes wrong instead of playing as a team player, but when it comes of it is fantastic to watch.:emoticon-0148-yes:

I was worried at half time, but the way we came back suggests we will indeed gradually creep away from the bottom.
It took spirit to come back from 2 down, and if they can keep that spirit there is no reason why City cant end up around 17th.

Just needs tweaking a touch is all, but we have finally found a manager who knows what he's doing

Another of that lady's quotes was spot on - "if he scored every one on one he would be in the Premier League and we are far from that"

Sam showed a great deal of character yesterday - many players from the past would have hidden after those misses, but he kept putting himself in the position again. Fair play to the lad.

Yes I'll give him credit for that, and the argument from some posters on OTIB is we shouldn't just be relying on Sam to score us 3-4 goals a game to win a match, which I can agree on as well.

But he is one of the most frustrating strikers I've ever seen.

    Spot on Simon

A lesser player would have let his head drop but Sam kept plugging away. If he scores 2 in each of the next 2 games I'll be very happy

If you notice after those misses his head did drop, he started to play wider putting in crosses rather than in on goal himself.
It took Cotterell's words to lift his head back into the game to play central again.

If someone said to me no matter what I'm not taking you off would give me confidence that the man who picks the team believes in me, I'm going to try harder.

Physiological words brings confidence and success, the same as a parent saying to a child if you tried everything you can do and fail I won't be upset. It's a lot better than saying you're not trying hard enough.

psycology..... a man about to jump off a bridge..." go on jump then, with luck the tide will take you out to sea, and save everyone the cost of your funeral"

or " look lets talk about it over a pint, if you still feel you need to jump you can come back later when its dark, in any case the Rovers are losing"
    ( downside = he is a rovers supporter )
