Our memories of VAR are bad, but it seems to have become even worse this season. Lee Mason failed to spot an offside by Brentford and didn't bother checking another in the same move, leading to their equaliser. How can someone so incompetant, or biased, be put in a position of importance?

Nothing wrong with VAR, it's the numpties who try to operate it.
Similar systems have been working well in both cricket and rugby for years

I agree that the use and implementation are the problems, but those problems seem to increase each season. When the head of PGMOL has to apologise to Brighton and Arsenal on the same weekend then it is maybe time for a complete reset. There are calls for Lee Mason to be sacked. If he worked in traffic control at Heathrow with that level of competance then aircraft would be in danger of colliding. I believe the words clear and obvious were the mandate when VAR was started.
