I agree with a lot of this Oslo, but.... Buz for who? Diakite or Derry?
I also agree with Mackie, he is like having two different players.
The Mackie that starts and is very ineffective, or Mackie the super- sub that comes on and gees the crowd up and does the business.
I also think that SWP, although he tries hard with no real end product, should be left out. He too seems like one of those players that play better as a sub, than as a starter.

For the Arsenal game I would go...

    --------------------------------------Cerny------------------------------

    Onouha-----------------Gabbidon-------------Hill------------------Traore

    Young--------------Barton-----------------------Derry--------------Taiwo

    ----------------------------------Taraabt-----------------------------

    ----------------------------------Zamora------------------------------

I meant Buz in for Mackie in the attacking midfield 3 from the team Col put up in his OP, but also with Buz in the middle, though the 3 and the striker need to very fluid.

My team for Arsenal would be:

    -------------Cerny-----------

Onouha---Gabbi---Hill---Traore (Taiwo, if Traore not fit)

    -------Derry-------Diakite-----

    SWP-------Buz-------Taarabt

    --------------ZZ--------------

and with Mackie as Super sub, Barton to come in defensive midfield if Derry gets tired or Diakite gets another yellow, and also DJ, HH (if fit, Andrade perhaps if not), Young or Taiwo if Traore plays, Kenny and Anton on the bench. Main reason I include SWP is that his speed would be useful especially defemsively against the Gooners, I agree there is little end product from him , but he has done quite well getting back. I'd love actually to see Andrade get some playing time before the end of the season. If we are relegated before the final game, then there will be a good opportunituy (ies!!) to try him out

Would love to see an Adel performance like last seasons antics, but alas I just cant see it happening. Hope I am proved wrong and he turns in some special displays, which to be fair could get him a ticket outta Loftus road for next season.

Best way to play the Arse is to get at them, hurry them and keep the pressure on...if we get this done well in the first half, who knows what could happen.

Adel would shine a whole lot more if Barton wasn't chasing after him and mouthing off when a pass or shot doesn't hit the mark. I've seen Adel take the ball, jink around a couple of players, look up to see if there are any options and then go for goal if there are no runners. Exactly what you would expect a creative midfielder to do but Barton runs over to him and you can see him effing and jeffing while pointing to the imaginary places he thought would have been a better option. You can see Adel's shoulders drop after these dressing downs handed out by the "captain".

The Gooner's defence has become very solid of late and shots from 20 yards or more may be all we can manage so why not rely more on Adel's long range ability and maybe the likes of HH or Mackie can try and pounce on the free ball if it is saved or comes back out off the woodwork.

I reckon Sparky will stick with SWP on the wing and hope that he can manage one or two passes into the box and hope tha Zamora can move quick enough to make the most of them. Playing with his back to goal is fine as long as there is another striker who can work off him but Zamora often looks like he is the lone front man.

Go on Adel, knock a few in. I'd love to be able to wind up the Gooners at work!

That's why my team works. It gives us enough going forward and enough hassling the Arsenal midfield and tracking back. If we stop this very average Arsenal team supplying to Van Persie we have enough going forward as well as tracking back.I expect to see Tommy Smith or Luke Young hitting the winner in this one. Attacking full-backs switching and taking it in turns to go forward and defend is a great combination. Come on you R'sssss 2-1.

Barton has choked and bullied our creativity to a point where we look a pale shadow of what we should be ... Saying that IMO there are times when we are away from home that we need Barton's style to nick a point ie : **** up any flow of the game and drown football like one of 999's kittens ... We now need to go for it every game so it will be interesting. At home at Loftus Road against Arsenal, Spurs, Swansea, and Stoke If we don't play with a bit of relaxed creativity then even I will be upset and i am still in league with the devil

This Barton guy is really powerful, he must be the devil of all devils.. You heard about the cleaning ladies at Harlington having their rubbish collection creativity all f*kked up, now I heard the tea ladies are getting bullied into serving the tea without the standard three spoons of whisky, no wonder Adel can't create any more and Paddy can't move to his left hand side without a giant fork lift truck being wheeled along the goal line!

Agree with Rangercol. We need Adel back where he can be most effective.

One of our many big mistakes this year was changing the formation from last year. Why we changed what worked so well for us is beyond me.

    ----------------Kenny----------------
    Young----Onouha----Ferdinand----Taiwo
    -------------Derry---Diakite------------
    Mackie------------Adel------------Smith
    ------------------Zamora----------------

Exactly this,it wouldn't matter who we have up front for us.Our defence is absolutely toilet, and if you look like conceding a minimum of two goals per game you've quite frankly had it!

Someone had to say it, but true!!

Although this has been mentioned before, I think a lot of other excuses have been made throughout the season as to the position we are in. A large proportion of it in my opinion boils down to that the defence has been very weak..... they always seem to backtrot to the edge of our area and then it gets frantically desperately panicky!.

The midfield seem to get sliced through like butter too!!

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. There were many people on here and in the crowd moaning about playing one up front earlier this season when results weren't going our way.

The good old days of autumn when we played 4-2-3-1, played with fluidity and fight, were half way up the table, and had a Manager with passion!
