LB & RB would be vastly improved by the introduction of a DM

simple point re organisation versus individual players is ManU. They have good defensive record but their defenders individually aren't highly rated - excepting possibly Bailly

Klavan was supposed to be 4th choice but Sakho and injuries made him a regular. He isn't the problem it's making sure he can be an actual 4th choice for the season.

Wijnaldum is on track to be one of our most important players.

He's been good this season and shown real signs of improvement.

But I do think we still need to sign a new keeper to challenge for titles.

We have been looking at our defence since Dec 7, 2013, that was during the time of Brendan Rodgers. It has not improved.

It's a personnel issue, particularly down our left side. Milner and Lovren offer nothing and need to be moved on. They simply cannot be coached.

Our defence was resolute yesterday. We played as a unit, every one was a defender. Special applause to

Really? I thought the defence was awful - Byram had a good chance, Ayew missed a sitter, and they should have a penalty.

Three golden opportunities we could have conceded from. That's disgraceful.

Not better than last season. We need a commanding CB, defending set pieces in particular nothing to write home about.

Its the same old, all the cms head off on a wander and the cbs are exposed..they if they scramble it away the next thing a cm or a forward brain fart on the set piece.

I watched redknapp today try to tell carragher how a cb defends a set piece laughing at the gobshite.

Lfc are making crazy decisions all over the pitch when simple positive football would do. Henderson is terrible at wandering off and just leaving gaping holes. Can will try a stupid pass or back heel.

Imagine putting firmino in the slot that a 6 foot 4inch player should be and windy where a6ft plus should be....

It's system and personal imo... the front 3 plus coutinho... decent.. rb, taa might just be very good. Matip is good...the rest? Poor.

Mingolet, lovren, any lb, Henderson, can...thats half the team you just can't trust one jot.

None are good enough to make any other top 4 side

But... klopp is making it worse by failing systematically yo lock the thing down by nailing Henderson's feet down to stop him wandering and explaining harshly that minding the ball is more than just back passing. Can caused that second goal when he had won possession and a poor team set home and a quick throw and we were done.

Have to say i really don't get why so many rate Matip since imo he is almost as error prone as the rest of em.

    It's constantly one on one...

I think his positioning is much better than lovren. He rarely gets wrong side and Shepards well. He is not great in the air for his height though

I think it's based on expectation following their price tags.

I agree there isn't a lot of difference between Lovern and Matip
