I think the pint he’s making John is our problem is not buying players , so much as paying the wages they expect . We can’t compete wages wise if top championship teams decide they want a player. This isn’t likely to change anytime soon, until or unless we can somehow manage to get promotion and therefore ourselves be entitled to parachute payments should we be relegated.
I consider it a terrible reflection on the league when you need to fail to earn more money than you can by competing in the Championship.
What I was trying to say is that you may need to spend a fortune to get to the promised land, without falling afoul of the FFP, and if you do finally make it and fail then the league will throw free money your way. I know that's a bit convoluted and wordy but to me it seems that it's a bit strange that if you do spend silly money to get there and fail they give you back even more silly money. Double standards?
this I understand . this I assume is you get into prem ..like Fulham have done ...or whoever, finish bottom 3 then get £100m+ for doing so ? last part is basically your way of confirming …..
Exactly John and it seems a bit strange to be awarded for failure and get dinged if you try to buy success.
He is our number one because Frankie out and he is doing a good job, BRILLIANT job maybe we need a back up as Frankie is out for longer or wants to move …. AND we might be aiming higher like top 7!..lol
My feeling is Frankie has possibly played his last game for us , I may be wrong, but think he’ll head north once fit . This , if it happens, will allow Max to be loaned to allow him game time .
I know some people have an issue with Frankie, but, whilst not spectacular, he was a good servant for the club and, I would argue, there were more occasions where his saves earned us points than his mistakes cost us them. He's not gone yet but when he goes I'll be thankful for his time with us.
