As per my post and what TF has tweeted. The winnable games start now. I'm not in the least bit worried but ask me again in 3 games time. Thats when i'll consider hitting the panic button. I don't want the constant managerial merry go round.
No one is panicking. No one is suggesting we have a managerial merry go round. I am saying that MH is not the man for this Club any longer. He cannot fix this(apologies to Amit) because he hasn't the ability to fix it with this squad. He is also not going to take QPR on a winning run in from January onwards, should he get new players, thereby saving our Premier League status. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, chances are its a duck. He hasn't got the ability to rescue this situation. He needs to go and I would prefer if he came to this conclusion himself and resigned, quickly.
Ok Ruislip well keep Sparky and see whether he can get us to 20pts for the season. Infact i got my facts wrong with my original post. Hes only got us 2 pts on the road since January nearly 10 months, 1 at Villa last season and a very lucky point at Norwich a game i was at in August. We are just a team of misfits (Park, SWP, Fabio, Mbia etc). He also signed Robert Green (enough said about that) .We have become the whipping boys in the Premiership and teams must be licking their lips at 3pts when they have us at home. All i hear is excuses after every defeat. We have a poor discipline record and another sending off today which has probably cost us the match. Nothing against Mark Hughes personally but he has to carry the can and if we dont win next week he has to go. 3pts out of 30pts is not good enough for the investment made and someone else should be given the chance to turn our fortunes round.
Can't get the best out of world class players (Park, Granero, etc.). We are relegation certs while he is in charge, regardless of who gets sent-off. We played better football under Jim Magilton and Paul Hart!
We went through a maestrom until we got NW, and he brought us up. Stability? If it's not working, IT'S NOT WORKING. Full stop.
Dave, I cant argue with any of that but unfortunately you or anyone else on this forum cant guarantee that the next one in the door wont do any better. We will only get relegated if he doesnt turn it around. Its not the end of the world.WBA, Newcastle Sunderland have all been there and done it and become better clubs because of it.
Befast, you should give the club a call on Monday and give them a list of all the succesful managers waiting to lead us to glory.Im sure there be only to willing to listen to you.
Id just like to see us with a manager that shows a bit of passion particularly on the touchline amongst other things as i believe it can rub off on the players if they are half decent. Thats where Warnock was so good. I remember Sparkys first game at LR against MK Dons in the cup replay. He just stands there with his arms folded in his suit for the whole match and he was exactly the same at the Norwich away game. I really hope im proved wrong in the next few games but i can quite easily Reading spoiling the party next week just as they did a few weeks ago in the cup.
Forgive me, but what's your point? We're in the Premier League. We sure as hell aren't going to be if we keep MH as manager. Are there any good pubs in Ruislip? I feel this discussion should be continued over a pint or 6. I think I could convince you before the end of the first pint. You can buy the next 5.
My point is this, the premier league is a merry go round for managers.Apart from Fergurson,Wenger and Moyes the rest just move from club to club hoping that they will be a success.MH is no different.Sacking him will bring in another one no better no worse. And yes theres a few pubs in Ruislip next time your in town give me a shout.
Hughes was never the right man in the 1st place. I thought that and nothing has changed my mind, if fact we are going backwards under him the longer it goes on. Bringing the right man is important, its no good sacking him and then bringing in MaCarthy or Megson as then we will have another Tango and Cash episode. Would you rather have Hughes than Martinez or Benitez?
I see progress with your post. Some time ago, a few weeks, 'Ironman' suggested in a post that we need to change until we get a manager who works for us. Its not as silly a suggestion as it may initially seem. There's a contingent of despairing Irishmen in London for the Southampton game, make yourself known.
Sacking the managers hasnt been the problem, hiring the wrong ones in the 1st place is the problem. The only one who was the right appointment was Warnock and he was correctly sacked. The mistake is appointing Hughes in the 1st place and the only way to correct that is to sack him.
They are all the same, they change the team because they have favourite players from previous clubs. You just become a hybrid team of the encumbent manager so it doesnt matter who you have really.Benitez was sacked from Liverpool but they didnt want Martinez. Why ??If Martinez is that good why is he still at Wigan and why is Benitez out of work.
