Won't be watching no matter how many times Netflix try and and make me. First thing that's "Suggested" when in turn it on when Netflix always cherry pick the kind of stuff I usually watch and it's nothing like the trash TV stuff that's on there. As for Harry, his issues with the family go all the way back to August 1997.

I'd considered cancelling just because they'd multiple times emailed me saying "we've just added a docuseries you might like ... Harry & Megan". If their AI recomendation system is that broken that it thinks I'd be interested in that, what hope is there that they'll ever show me something that I'd want to watch.

I see it's the royal family 'at war' with them', and not the other way round.

    Could've fooled me.

She was a z-list celebrity who was like the cat that got the cream when they 1st got together. She had no idea how huge and powerful the royal family is, she got in over her head and realised she couldn’t control things to her liking and spat her dummy out. She started looking for a way out but didn’t want to let the trappings and luxuries of the lifestyle go. Harry has been played like a lovesick schoolboy and it showed when the horrible woman played out her fake curtsy whilst mocking The Queen. She wants the royalty lifestyle but on her terms, he’s nothing more than a puppet on a string the sad cowardly man.

Buggers sent me it as well. I was horrified when I opened the email, thought Id been hacked. Then it dawned on me my wife is probably watching rubbish like this when I am out. I also got another in the same week about some christmas girls party or something, along with a reminder to finish watching the amanda knox series (very good), and the texas killing fields. Their AI programme must think I am odd.

Exactly, thought the whole point of them two moving to the states was to avoid the limelight, they seem to need it

Again a point of view dependent upon which side of the fence you sit. Me, I’m literally on that fence in the middle. Not a royalist, nor am I anti royal, just think there are 2 sides and we’ll never get the whole truth from either side

And why should we tbh, none of our business.

The fact that some people becoming fanatically defensive, of one side or another, is crazy ...

... we know virtually nothing about these people other than what's in the media.

Even Andrew, who's probably a dreadful man, hasn't been convicted in any realm other than the 'people's court' based on speculation. We all have opinions based entirely on what appears in the media. The Netflix thing, judging by the trailers, is propaganda that Trump would be proud of. Attacking your own family in public is poor, especially when you know they're unlikely to defend themselves.

The poor lad looks like his wife is dragging him around like a ginger pig with a ring through his nose ...

... when she's bled him dry he'll be stuck over there seeing his kids when it suits her.

No chance that marriage will last imo.

I think an important consideration is how the royals have traditionally viewed marriage - in previous eras, when royals actually ran countries, it was a tool to strengthen relationships. Now that's largely gone and marrying someone you're usually not too distantly related to isn't seen as a good thing, it will have evolved into marrying to strengthen 'the brand'.

What could have been more perfect for the brand than marrying an American woman of colour? The older fogeys in the family might turn their nose up but Charles and co will have absolutely understood the value to the family going forwards.

It was only later that the problems arose. I suppose it's their fault for not realising she'd revert to being a typical American actor with the desperate grasping for attention, the complete self obsession and delusions of their own importance and intelligence that they all have as part of the psychological makeup required to be even a moderate success in that industry.

Can’t wait for when they’ve used up all they have to say. See how quickly Netflix drop them , and maybe then they can crawl off to obscurity

These 'shocking reactions' seem to be that Harry doesn't always get on with his brother and the loud girlfriend sometimes felt a bit left out and awkward ...

... ordinary people, like us, can barely imagine what that could be like <laugh>

Dispicable slagging his family off ( even if there is cause to ) on a world stage knowing they can’t retaliate . No respect for him at all for that. As you suggest , sort your family problem out with the family at home.

Seems a lot of people know meghan markle really well in here. Well enough to blame her. Personally I have no idea what any of them are like. For all I know Harrys brother might be a nasty so and so behind the scenes. I dont really care either way.

What I do care about is our media and the way they spin things. I have long wanted someone, or something to make them rethink how they behave. I read an article on how the same papers wrote headlines about williams wife compared to meghan, for what was very similar things. Anything from kate holding her baby bump was lovely but meghan was acting, to william setting up companies to manage his brand being fine and dandy, but harry and meghan being appaling. Loads of other examples. Now maybe every negatively spun headline about her was justified, but I really do doubt it. No idea why the agenda was there, or why it was started, but in my opinion there was a vindictiveness about newspaper headlines when the lass was involved. Whether this has anything to do with a netflix series I dont know as not watching but I do feel a bit sorry for the lass actually.

As per lots of previous posts, it is fairly obvious that I am anything but a royalist (although I would contend i am a patriot) but even an old curmudgeon as I am would agree QEII, did the country a great service.

As per the family row going on atm, with Netflix making hay about it.

Meghan is probably a pushy cow, having become a successful actress from humble beginnings. She has also become some sort of UN ambassador and has made speeches to the UN General Assembly.

If the dear old QEII, had been younger I suspect she would have seen what a great asset that Meghan was to the firm, to an extent even more so than Kate (who probably had her nose put out of joint, by the attributes thatMeghan brought to the table, as it were ). So the row between the brothers would not have been allowed to fester. Big ears KCIII, is too thick to sort the brothers out, they both probably think he was one of the factors behind their mother death.

Are the royal family (and its staff) and the daily heil (several articles p day against H and M) like say Danny Baker (Millwall supporter, surprise surprise). Who was sacked by the BBC for tweeting, after Meghan gave birth to her son, of her leaving hospital holding hands with a monkey.

You could say you seem to know her well enough not to blame her ...

... she may be extremely vindictive and fully deserving of whatever press she received.

She's certainly being vindictive now, but who knows if that's entirely natural or against her nature and pure retaliation.

As for these headlines about 'appalling businesses or acting with the baby,' I honestly don't recall anything of the sort in the British media.

There's definitely an element of 'playing the game' involved, I agree. Media intrusion is going to happen regardless so is it better to relinquish some privacy for a certain amount of control, or try to square the circle of demanding total privacy while also demanding positive exposure whenever you want it (which turns out to be often)

The Danny Baker thing was an absolute nothing really. Anyone who followed him on Twitter knew about his fondness for using oldey timey vaudevillian style images and photos to make jokes with - 'another performing monkey to join the performing monkey family' was obviously what he intended.
