NFUNo1 is clearly a wum dont bother arguing with him. Anyone who has blessed with the gift of sight can tell it wasnt a peno
All I'm saying is that by today's standards that probably would be given. IMO there appears to be a slight coming together and is this day and age that's usually enough. I can see why it caused such a furore back then though. No WUM intended chaps although perhaps sticking my oar in was a bit naughty. I had three players from that Leicester side in my very successful dream team.
I'm willing to forgive you based on your Dream Team confession - I too did very well during those seasons - let me guess, at least one of your selections was Muzzy Izzet? On the pen - if you haven't yet followed the earlier link to the Danny Baker article it is well worth it ... what it doesn't convey is that in the last 15 mins or so there only looked like there might be one winner .. and it wasn't going to be Chelsea ... so even more angst at what was blatant cheating ... not least because they were losing the stomach for the contest and starting to clutch at straws - Erlund Johnsson didn't just clutch, he grabbed the whole fookin haystack!
Matty Elliott and Gerry Taggart were the other two. If memory serves me well that team had a lot of clean sheets?
You are the first person I have heard in 15 years that thinks that was a penalty. No-one, in the media, or fans of other clubs that I've spoken to, has ever even implied that it was a tough decision. So I think I'll take your comments with a pinch of salt.
Ha ha! We seem to have played AGAINST a lot of teams with invisible men this season. Invisible players that only the ref can see. Our players have been scything them down and earning red cards all season. They've been fouled in the area when we've put the ball in the net, leading to goals being disallowed. It's amazing how many there are in the Championship this season...
