I agree that City need to increase Revenues in as many areas as possible. Having Tigers in the name is only one area, but it could be the area that brings the biggest increase if linked to a sponsorship and push in Asian markets. Unfortunately we don't know what AA has lined up and whether the secrecy is for commercial reasons or possibly because we are not allowed to question. AA hasn't helped his own case and clearly stated tangible the benefits of Tigers nevertheless I have given him my support even though my preference was for compromise such as Hull City Tigers.

We have had The Tigers as our nickname since 1905. There is nothing stopping Assem Allam exploiting the Tiger brand in Asia now. If he was serious about increasing our income from Asia he would have started as soon as the final whistle went at Watford.

We are desperate for a new Chief Exec/PR/Commercial Manager mover and shaker.

    When are we appointing one?

what is so wrong with cash converters that isnt wrong with the betting sponsors that we last had ?
they both appeal to the same demographic and i would predict many would be seen leaving Cash Converters to wander into William Hills / Ladbrokes etc .

For reasons that escape me, AA wants a Cheif Exec with no football experience.

His recent TV appearances are not helping the recruitment drive.

Betting is a popular passtime with all demographics.

Cash Converters only appeals to those with nowhere else to go.

The demographics aren't the same at all.

Sunderland yesterday, 40,000 plus crowd, almost twice what we have been getting. That's almost 20,000 more people spending money in and around Sunderland on a matchday.
So the KC capacity needs to be increased. This can be done by moving the away fans to a corner section and giving the North Stand over to home fans with no segregation. Getting income from every available seat in other words.
More pressure must be placed on Geraghty and Co. to show us their business plan for this area of Hull. Because I don't think they have one. If they don't then they are letting the city and its people down massively. Have any of the councillors ever visited another cities Premier league football ground ? These questions need to be asked.
Why isn't AA invited/encouraged/coaxed to invest in a hotel complex alongside the KC Stadium ? That would bring in revenue 24/7 and as well as creating jobs it would encourage further investment in the area.
The club shop needs to in the city centre, not on the top floor of a shopping arcade which isn't even the most visited arcade in the city. Ferensway, St Stephens or Jameson Street or nowhere.
The club could buy Parkers or The George Pub and turn in into a proper football themed pub.
Drop the name change and concentrate of the supporters we already have and put their efforts into attracting more.
Invest in a proper Football Academy.
Build a much better working relationship with the local media. ie; daily press conferances/ press releases. Dominate the local scene first with good positive news about the club then go nationally, internationally.
Encourage the weekend European visitors market which is very lucrative and would be good for the city of Hull as well.

HULL CITY COUNCIL MUST PLAY BALL AND THE ELECTORATE SHOULD BE DEMANDING WHY THEY ARE NOT.

Didn't AA refuse to work on a joint venture when the City Council proposed it?

Just the simple things on match days are poorly planned. Trying to get a drink or something on the concourse at halftime is pointless. Small serving areas with ridiculously slow people serving. Hundreds of people come down at halftime look at the queues and go back not bothering. Thats only a small thing but loses a lot of revenue.
Is the catering out sourced? if so bring it in house and put somebody in charge who know what their doing. Run correctly with more serving areas and shorter queues its a gold mine.

Put together a marketing plan with costs, designs, turnover, projections, ROI etc. Put it together in a professional packet and deliver it to the club with a resume and ask for a job in the clubs marketing department. If you think the idea is the way to go then go for it.

We either have one, its someones job and it isnt a full department or we use a contractor. Either way, all buisnesses/orgs listen to the bottom line. If you do it up and prove your point and they have any brains they either steal your idea or give you a job. A smart person would just give you a job. One good idea is normally followed by more good ideas.

Apart from the AP era, the club has been utterly clueless in engaging the public in this city. Aloof, take it or leave it, 'die as soon as they want', from Needler to Lloyd they've all basically had the same **** attitude (Don Robinson did try in a well meaning way)....and made no effort to get the rank and file, undecided, unaligned folk of the city into our corner abd get them to stay there.

Time and time again the club cold shoulders the people. Remember the resistance to the social club at BP? Remember the way in which the rugby clubs outflanked us (and still are doing) in engaging with the people?

Thus thread has **** all to do with Asian sponsors or investors: it's about how we get out of bottom position in the commercial/matchday revenue and understanding the reasons why we're there and how we propose to get out of it.

What about the empty Carlton cinema to house a Hull sport museum featuring City, Hull , Rovers, Vikings, Yorkshire cricket etc?

Surely some EU/lottery/govt cash could be freed up?

    Ideal location and building.

If AA spent half the time and effort focusing on marketing the club locally as he does focusing on massaging his ego with as many photo ops as possible we would be significantly better off financially- the guy is ****ing clueless when it comes to marketing, he alienates just about everyone he comes into contact with which is why no-one will work with him and why no-one will invest in him -the only people who suck up to him are local charities / causes who want his money and a few pathetic ****s on here who are **** scared he'll take his money away - he needs to take a total back seat, put his lad in the frame as the acceptable face of the club because he makes himself look like a complete ****ing moron every time he opens his mouth

No. Is it compulsory to do so ?
I wrote what I thought. Are you suggesting I run it past you first?

Becuase they know a bad thing when they see one.

Football is too much of a high stakes gamble, why take the risk
