Compared to maureen 2019 version managing his team he got off lightly!
 
Simple question for those calling for Steptonho: at which point in his career has he taken over at a team in disarray, rather than a team that's relatively harmonious that just so happens to have a transfer budget that's bigger than the GDP of a Balkan nation?

So if you think that our players downing tools and playing like they don't give a **** is an issue, why are you calling for a manager with a track record of teams downing tools and playing like they want the coach fired ASAMFP?

Rather Allegri over Jose.

Feel like Jose has had his time in the Prem and won’t have the same hunger to win as much as he did with Chelsea or his first year at Utd.

Allegri on the other hand has said he wants to manage in England with some rumours even going as far as saying he’s been learning English for a while. He’ll want to prove himself in another league and I think he could bring some new ideas too, similar to how Conte came in at Chelsea and made the five at the back formation fashionable for a season.

Don't you think Mourinho has points to prove? I think that's a perfect Mourinho to have

I'm not buying into him being a busted flush. I'm not saying the dynamics work between Levy and Mourinho from the outset.

If he did take over I am sure both Levy and Mourinho will have taken each others limitations into consideration before signing on the dotted line. All this about Mourinho leaving clubs in tatters is bandwagon stuff...last time I checked all his former clubs were doing fine.

As for his football style being boring or Mourinho not hanging about for longer than 3 years. I couldn't care less...at least our chances of winning football might increase. I reckon Mourinho would make a better fist of the big games too...it's laughable to suggest that this man has forgotten how to be a manager. Plus trying to build empires looking for the next Fergie has become a trend it's certainly not the only route to success. Bigger clubs than ours change managers regularly...there's a reason for that. Pep also gets the 3 year itch but no one questions that.

I’m not totally against Maureen, so long as he and Levy completely understand each other before any appointment.

But, I don’t think that time has come yet. Let’s get the key players who are injured integrated into the squad. If performances like yesterday’s and results continue to be poor, then no doubt Levy will pull the trigger anyway.

Does he have a point to prove though? He’s won everything he can in England.

The style of football no longer concerns me so long as it produces results. We’ve played pretty football for years and had no substance. If we have to sacrifice style for substance then I’ll take it but it’s whether Jose could indeed do that without having the type of backing he did at Chelsea or Utd. We do now have finances befitting of a “big club” but there’s still levels to what he got at Utd and Chelsea.

I’d prefer Allegri because he’s hungry to prove he’s a success in another country. If we got him in before January he might be able to help with your best mate, Dybala ;)

I repeat, when has Steptonho taken over a team that was underperforming? Look at where the various teams he managed finished before he showed up

Porto
2001-2: Finished third

Chelsea
2003-4: Finished second

Inter
2007-8: Won the league

Los Ladrones
2008-9: Finished second

Chelsea
2012-13: Finished third, won Europa League

Manchester United
2015-16: Finished fifth, won FA Cup

So at best you can say he's taken over one team that was struggling, and did he turn them around? Did he buggery - they're currently two points above the relegation zone and having a far worse season than us, but for some reason all the ex-Man Utd and ex-Arsenal pundits are not mentioning that little detail...
