I haven't seen the replay but I thought he beat the 'keeper simply by putting it in the least expected place. It was a bit like his winner against Watford in that he put it cleverly across the goal and right in the far corner. I don't think i No I don't think we need anyone to be absolutely ****ing hopeless. As for the pitch, it obviously has an impact on performance. Just look at our home games at this time of year compared to the rest of the season, both this year and last year we've hardly won a home game in the 2nd half of the season compared to winning most home games in the 1st half. Not only that but the specific problem involved is a recurring theme, we can defend okay but scoring goals (particularly when a team sits back) has been almost impossible for us at this time of year in the last two seasons.
Which means they get hammered more during the playing season, so obviously the playing surface is better quality or our groundstaff are ****e
Swansea share their ground with Ospreys Rugby, look at the great passing game they still play because they have a pitch in tip top condition.
You need to go to spech savers then. 13 million+ viewing at its peak was not all down to gardening was it ?
The pitch is probably second only to our low scoring rate as the biggest obstacle the team has had to contend with. I wonder how many times a half chance might have been converted into a goal if we had a decent pitch for those home 0-0 draws. Again I say to one and all bring on the synthetic pitch, yet I am but a voice in the wilderness - Does anyone else agree?
Cancel the match on the 3rd June and start the work relaying the KC pitch on the 6th May. That gives them until 1st July(almost 2 months) to get it like a snooker table. More than enough time. Simples - end of.
You make a fair point mate But i am a Grass man. Nothing like lush green grass to play on. Its not hard to grow a decent pitch is it but the SMC ground staff need to get it sorted and quick.
I agree with you!!! I honestly feel we would have had more points on the board had our pitch been up to scratch
dont care much for your standard of women then,,, But i was actually referring to her Dimmocks more than her looks in my original post. You deffo need new reading glasses olm.
Yes very true mate. The bobbles the ball takes makes playing at the KC abit like russian roulette. Thank goodness 4 of the next 5 games are away and on decent pitches. The KC pitch looks worse on the TV. Mud banks or what.!!!
There's no point having a synthetic pitch in order to get promotion. If we get promotion we're not allowed to have a synthetic pitch so we'd have to replace it again, and we're in the same position we are now trying to find a way to make a natural/hybrid pitch that can handle two teams playing on it in our stadium.
Barmby said he was looking forward to playing on Cardiff's pitch and low and behold the lads produce the performance and result of the season. The KC pitch is without doubt responsible for a lot of dropped points, so whoever is responsible for the pitch needs a kick up the ar5e because they are letting down City's promotion challenge.
