Afternoon all,

I've been messaging with wiz today and I've decided to step down as Moderator due to personal reasons. A lot of things are happening at the moment which are bringing me down and I haven't got the commitment to carry on being a MOD. So we've both agreed to find a new one to take my spot. It wasn't a easy decision to make, it was one I've been thinking about for quite a while now. I'll continue to be a part of this site but I wont be around as much. I'm gutted to be stepping down as I've enjoyed it but its time for someone else to take over now. We've agreed to let you the members decide who takes over. So long as its a serious vote and its someone we can see taking on the role well. I've got in my mind who I would like to take over but you will have the say on who does.

Shiny, I am absolutely gutted, it's been a real pleasure working with you, I regard you as a friend, mate and over these last 2 years a hard working partner in developing and growing our board or forum which now has 262 members, not bad considering we have had some tough times in recent history, both our team and together on here.

I wish you all the best in the future, with regard the appointment of a new mod, the supermods have laid out the system we now have to apply and I will set it all up when you and our members have got used to the bad news of you going, I will be putting up a thread asking for names to be submitted for a sensible poll and then forwarding the chosen candidate back to the supermods subject to the winner of the poll agreeing to do the task..

Shiny, stay with us, I am truly sorry you are stepping down, thanks for everything mate..

Shiny, thats a great shame, you have been doing a fantastic job on here. I for one am gutted you are standing down but obviously if its for personal reasons thats understandable.

Not a good news start to my day Shiny and I wish you all the luck mate because, although we will never meet, I regard you as a friend. This site has benefitted from your presence and the building blocks of a forum of which we can be proud of is in no small measure down to your involvement.

Sometimes life can throw roadblocks in our way and we need time to reflect and this would seem to be the case and, although I can't offer any advice, I just hope you get things sorted and come back even stronger. We are all with you Shiny and good luck mate in your future. Keep smiling man!

sorry to hear this Brett, it will be hard for anyone to match your enthusiasm, I hope when the dark clouds blow over you'll take up your 'old' position.

Being a Bristol City fan is just like real life; when you are up, the club can drag you down. But as the scenario now is downbeat, the only way is up. Keep the faith!

Obviously a different set of circumstances to myself, but many times I have been very down and stayed away from this site for a time. I have walked away thinking I wouldnt return and after several months away but I came back. I hope you dont stay away as long as I did and things get sorted out your end and you come back funny and witty as ever.

I echo everything said before me by others - you're a good lad Shiny and I enjoy reading your posts. The club needs young, enthusiastic blood as it's harder now than ever to support your home town team when they are doing so poorly and the glamour of being a Premier League "follower" is so enticing.

Evening shiny, having been absent for a while, I can appreciate that sometimes we all need to take a break although I have missed the reason for yours - hope we will still see you on here though...
 
Shiny as an old stager I know quite often personal things can hang like a millstone around the neck, I have had MANY MANY SUCH OCCASSIONS, but hey I am still here, annoying peeps but most of all enjoying myself taking part and lapping up the specialness of this board.

I can really appreciate the effort the younger members like yourself put in...that's why we have such a great forum...a good mix of young and old...

Hopefully all will sort itself sooner than later, remember it doesn't rain everyday..!
