News on BBC that Valdes would be open to helping out. Dont know how this could work. Could Man Utd cancel his contract and then we offer him the same deal for rest of season?

    Valdes > Krul.

Sadly it won't happen, and we all know why.

    Emergency loan?

With our top 2 'keepers injured, it's the only way we could swing it.

Valdes is class, no doubt. Granted he may well be past his peak but Shay Given et al have shown that the longevity of goalkeepers is in no doubt.

Even though we have our top 2 keepers out we will not be allowed an emergency loan. Only way is to sign a out of contract player, and I suspect they may be thin on the ground. I thought Harps may come back but he's already ruled himself out.

Valdez would be out of contract if Manchester United release him??
Won't release him to join a rival but we are not exactly going to be rivalling them anytime soon

I think it will be a case of sticking with what we have until Darlow returns. That is what he was signed for, they are not going clip his cock by signing another keeper. I'd prefer Valdes to Krul to be honest but its never going to happen.

They'll wait the month Darlow is out and believe they have enough. They will just put their faith in Elliot and have Woodman back him up. Having seen Elliot operate then of course this is a major handicap, but a keeper can only do so much anyway with the likes of Colo, Janmaat and Haidara in front of them.

    A deal could happen

Say there is a player we are interested in from Man U, a fringe player/youth player and he is worth £1m for instance.

Man yoo agree to mutually end Valdes contract and we sign him for free

January comes round and we purchase the fringe/young player for £3m

therefore, man yoo are getting £1m for the youth player and say £2m for valdes, plus they arent paying him compo for leaving as the agreement is mutual and they wont be paying valdes any salary, as opposed to waiting to sell him in january.

If anyone at Newcastle had any kind of sense/business acumen, this is what would happen.

Steve Harper would have helped out but due to Newcastle having a fully named 25 man squad they were'nt allowed another player in. Can change in January when squads can be altered.

<laugh>He should have gone for the punch like. It was a foul, it was two fouls in fact but it doesn't detract from Pants making the wrong decision.

Worst part about his re-entry into spoiling football is seeing his grotesque massive head and arrogant interviews, best part is watching such a massive rugged bloke whinge like a 3 yr old every week. Sadly he will get his first win and gloating session soon enough...

Honestly this is a blessing in disguise because tim krul is ****e. Yes he makes a few saves but his kicking and dealing with crosses is an absolute zero.
