Another clean sheet is important, hope Hobbs & Chester can improve as a pairing. Shame we couldn't get Gerrard.

Leeds beating Palace was a good result for us as palace are above us in table and Leeds still behind.. the most important is how in touch we are with the top 6.

Well done to the boys today, good win on the road and will help with everyone's confidence. If we can keep this up then we'll be in for a good season. Given Peterborough's home form today was going to be tricky so we can take pride in the result. Onto Pompey now, hopefully we can get another good result from that game to really put the poor home form behind us.

not sure what to make of todays game..i thought we started well with waghorn hiting the bar, and i thought we where going to go on to play well, but we didnt really, it was all rather scrappy and neither team deserved to win..peterboro probably had the better of the 1st half, i thought at times there midfield ran ours ragged, cairney and mckenna couldnt keep up with them...2nd half imrpoved, the introduction of evans and dudgeon seemed to put a bit of life into things, still a severe lack of cutting edge in the final 3rd tho, we had a few breakaways to kill the game off, and poor decision making cost us, stil at least it was nice to see a few shots on target in a game, so an improvement at least, lets see how we get on at home next week..

Who stood out DJ? Just seen Mclean's goal struck it well, he went up for the header from TC's corner did a 360 as he didnt know where the ball was then swivelled and lashed it home.

to be honest, i dont know..i know i come across as a right negative c**t sometimes..and im trying not to be after a win, but there was nobody i thought brilliant..
chester made some good blocks, a great save from basso, waghorn showed some fleeting moments, but not many..brady looked his usual busy self, but was the main culprit of messing up the breakaways, evans and dudgeon stood out a bit to me, there where times in the 1st half peterboro looked like barca, just walking through our midfield, theres a whole ball winner debate going on other threads, and you maybe dont need one, but you have to put some effort into tackling!, the midfield had more control after they came on.....it was a steady performance imo, like many of the away wins last year, thats why im interested to see how we do next week, see if we can do it at home.
city fans where probably the stand out. great to be back on terracing and i think the noise showed it

Agree with DJ about P'boro being on top in the first half, the early goal in the second seemed to take the steam out of them for a while. Rosenior had a good game and Basso too, including a great save in the second half. Thought Brady went missing at times today, but got more involved when both Fryatt and Waghorn were on the pitch. There weren't many signs of the 2 strikers linking up with each other, but City seemed to bring the midfield players more into the game with the front 2 both able to hold the ball up well.

I agree, i think next week will show if we have started to put the poor home form behind us. Hopefully that will be the case.

It was a bit of an odd game, with McKenna and Cairney in the middle we looked very pedestrian, I thought we improved when Koren moved into he middle and Cairney moved out to the left and I was surprised when Koren was taken off, but as dj says, we looked more dangerous when Dudgeon and Evans game on(Dudgeon particularly). We looked very nervy at the start, Rosie and Chester made a few uncharacteristic mistakes early on, but both improved as the game went on the goal settled things down.

It was a well taken goal by Mclean and good luck to him, he works hard and will get the odd goal like this, but his first touch is terrible and we looked far more likely to get a second when Fryatt came on, despite his goal, I'd still prefer Fryatt and Waghorn to start against Pompey. Brady is frustrating, he's still trying to do too much, he loses the ball too often and often makes poor decisions, there's a brilliant player in there and he can win us a game with a bit of magic, but he really should be contributing more than he is.

Posh aren't a bad side, they played some decent football(apart from that long haired ****er who kept falling over) and I doubt they'll go down, their keeper looked very solid.

Hopefully Brady isn't the new Bostock.. he's eager to impress but from what I heard on the radio tried some audacious shots when a pass or cross would have been better.
