Been told tonight there has been a report of some City players scuffling amongst themselves in the tunnel at end of Barnsley game. I told my source that we couldnt see inside the tunnel from where we were , but he said it was genuine. Anyone heard or see anything?
Lets hope that isnt true. It certainly wouldn't bode well for Saturday if they are taking swings at each other.
Don't agree, with performances like that I'd be really worried if a few fingers weren't being pointed and words said. This week is vital. Time for some home truths, some harsh words and people having some fire in their bellies, which was what wasn't there on Saturday.
I find that hard to believe. Quinn was reportedly pulled back into the tunnel following the set to with the "fans" who decided to mouth off. This would have all been happening at the same time. Bruce was out pretty quick for the media - and I'm pretty sure this would have delayed him.
well, think about it.... at least the players are showing passion. we only have to draw against Cardiff whereas Watford have to go to L**ds and WIN. tricky place to go at the best of times, but L**ds have just installed a new manager. Here's to hoping that the manager will create some sort of impetus for the L**ds players, and seeing how its a team from dahn sarf playing such a massive club from up North, it will be on SKY. I hope that the nerves get the better of Watfud.
I'm pretty sure its Leeds that have to go to Watford Patty lad which is also a very difficult place to go but we managed to win there
I agree. One needs to hear it from their teammates when they are letting everyone down but throwing punches is not conducive to harmony on the field. I also doubt that it occurred anyway. The reason I doubt it is that I cant see anyone from the last game being in a position to start a scuffle. They all played so badly that they all need to look in the mirror. Short of Ashbee himself going into the tunnel no one else should have been in a position to do so.
Worries me we have a split group of players, some want to stay here in the championship, and not be sold, and some genuinely want to go up
Are you still posting? All players want to go to the Premier League, none of this "Doesn't want to go up" bollocks. It'd be a pay rise and a year in the top flight. Go to bed.
This also crossed my mind, of cause we will never know, but I would have thought that most of the current players would feel they have the ability to play in the EPL, and this is probably their best chance with City.
Even if they thought they'd be out of the club if we got promotion, they'd get a hefty promotion bonus and a contract with a new championship club, so the theory they want to lose is just bollocks, they've all got something to gain from it.
who is this idiot ? If a player played like he didnt want promotion what division would he find himself playing in ??? Which manager would want to sign such a player . I take it you have never played School , Sunday lge or just Football in the park with your mates , even when the result isnt recorded anywhere yer try your best ! I fully expect the players gave 100% in these last 3 games - i think too many of them may have felt psychologically promoted already , and the resulting effect is seen in major sports all around the world. When the crossfield pass goes into touch the players need 100% support not a chorus of angst sighs .
I'm ready to be shot down by those who can't accept an alternative opinion but it has crossed my mind that it's fixed, not by the players but by other forces.
I think it's a combination between aliens, players not wanting to get promoted and fear of snakes due to lack of shoes on phone lines near football stadium
Wouldn't surprise me if it was an Asian betting syndicate involved, loads of money on Watford when they was 7 points behind
