Since World War Two, seven City players have done it.

Raich Carter did it in 1949.

Andy Payton and Wayne Jacobs were the last to do it, in 1990.

    What is it?

Played in every match, and every minute, in those seasons? :emoticon-0138-think

Can't be that, Greaves was the last to do that.

It’s a good effort but Willie Buchan did it in 1948, and she refused him because of his haggis breath.

Also Willie Buchan in 1948, Johnnie Downie in 1954, David Fraser in 1957 and Richard Jobson in 1985.

Today is the 22nd anniversary of the opening of the KC/MKM. A repeat of the scoreline against Swansea would be very welcome. :emoticon-0138-think

Ah yes, this one. It’s something that has only happened seven times since WW2.

December 1948 vs Rotherham United - Willie Buchan; December 1949 vs Brentford - Raich Carter; December 1954 vs Luton Town - Johnnie Downie; December 1957 vs Gateshead - David Fraser; December 1985 vs Leeds United - Richard Jobson; January 1990 vs Sunderland - Andy Payton and Wayne Jacobs; and no one since then.

What was it these seven all did?

As an extra clue - Jobbo only just managed it by the narrowest of margins.

I was at the last 2 games . Think the Leeds game was one of our 1 st Sunday matches. The Sunderland was an early KO on New years day . We won both and presume the players mentioned all scored , but don't recall anything unusual although John Terry made a great goaline clearance against Sunderland late on. Could the fact these games were in December and January be a factor.

You are very near to the answer there!

They are the only post-war goals scored by Hull City in the morning, before midday. The Jobson goal was in the 29th minute of an 11:30 kick off - close!

The goals in the 1950s go back to when City had matches that kicked off on Christmas Day morning.

I thought the Sunderland game had been 11 30 but was unsure games had KO as early as that .

Three future Tigers in the Derby team that day. And perhaps the finest Scottish winger of the late 1970s.
