Not from the year of the picture, but I remember it late 1970's early 1980's.
I remember seeing the first team having a proper training match on that very car park which was basically cinders. Andy Davidson was playing so I'm guessing it was 1964 ish. Also remember the long queues at the turnstiles of that stand before the Chelsea FA Cup replay, March 1966. The admission prices were still painted up as they are in the photograph but don't remember the Hull City AFC. Also a little know fact, as us old crusties will remember all the stands at Boothferry Park were painted in racing car green and we were the only club in the Football League not to have any advertising painted up on the back of the stands or around the pitch, and we were the last club to do so. This was a directive from Harold Needler who said we didn't need it. As he declined an interest of financial backing for a place of the Board from Lord Hanson, one the richest men in Britain at the height of the Raich Carter era.
