I can't understand how Dawson even at his very best could ever be included in a best eleven Tigers team.He is one footed ,lacking in height, lacking in attacking qualities lacking in tactical positioning and can only be redeemed by giving 100%.Even Ricketts was a better left back and over the years there have been better choices. Jock Davidson was more inspirational than Ashbee , who was another lacking in ability.Even as a player past his best Raich Carter has to be the one to wear the captains armband.Turner was overrated because he stood out in a very mediocre back four and was only on a par with Brian Garvey a local lad.Ian Butler was the best left winger to wear the black and amber .Waggy and Chilo as an attacking spearhead duo had no equal .I didn't get to see much of Norman but Bly and McKechnie hold a soft spot for me .Players like Neil Franklin,Jackie Sewell,Wilf Mannion and Don Revie were never at their peak when in a Tigers shirt but they were all quality players.
