You keep banging on about the so called plastic fan Muzz. What is your problem with the club attracting new people and in turn increasing our fan base, and therefore, income. I have a mate who used to proclaim himself a Man U fan until about 10 years ago. I took him to a game at BP,and hes been a City pass holder ever since that season. He's as true a City fan as you could imagine, trust me.

Where would we be without the new fans we have now ? Can you picture the KC with 3.000 of us in it ? Im glad your proud to be a long serving supporter, nothing wrong with that but we can't become the club we all aspire to be without new support.

You need to get your head out of your arse.

I personally class myself as being well brought up and I was brought up on a council estate by parents who brought me up with love and a set of morals.

One of those morals was not to look down on people.

Who the **** uses the term 'lower class' these days?

Did you really intend to come across so condescending?

By the way the two biggest pricks I know both went to private school. Their parents may have a few quid but it didn't stop them turning out to be grade A arse holes.

define the term 'new fan'? is that, sat quietly in a tiger suit, face paint, high heels, designer coat and gear whilst eating a cucumber banjo with the crusts cut off. or is it a loud passionate supporter with pride in their team and making his/her presence felt on the terraces?

Yesterday I wore what on reflection could be seen as smarter clothes for the match. Grey Chinos, Blue harrington style jacket and a check shirt. I would have normally had my favourite blue away shirt on and jeans. But as I posted earlier I did not want to get caught up with the Southampton fans going to Millwall on the same train as well as the rugby crowd going to Twickenham.

We had a great time before during and after the match, but how did the West Stand sit down and shut up brigade get down south???? I

"i ve also noticed that these Southern adventures are rapidly becoming 'quiet' affairs with most trained in the plastic prem way as fewer people stand and sing. Worrying I suppose but its a price to pay for retaining these 'beautiful people'. "

I could not disagree more. I have only sat at one away game "Brighton" and that was because my back was killing me. The front section was quite, but what about the Home support, without a bit of two way banter it is hard to maintain the singing. One thing though I would happily burst the drum.

Why are you so bothered what other people do at football. Let them support the team in their own way. I cant stand people dictating what others should or shouldnt do. And as for a spell in the lower leagues!! Why the hell would you want that?

Is there anything you enjoy about supporting Hull City?

    You moan about everything.

Your continual insults of fellow city fans is out of order & boring.

If someone has made the effort to attend an away game they can do as they please.

Completely agree with this, I'm sick of this "you're not a proper fan bullshit" we all pay our money and all want the tigers to win, how we express that is entirely up to the individual. I went to my first game over 25 years ago but didn't sing yesterday - please let me know where that means I sit on the 'proper fan' scale?

Any City fan is a good City fan as far as I'm concerned.

The continual references to the west stand fans is complete bollocks, the west may be quieter overall(it's predominantly family or older fans paying twice as much as anyone else in the ground), but I sit in the west and you'll never come across a fan more vocal than me.

A City fan, is a City fan, however many games they attend and wherever they sit in the ground.

How is 'lower class' condescending? It's just true. The so-called working class is the socioeconomic group which is lower than the middle and upper groups. Strange how lower class people who'd normally class themselves as 'call a spade a spade' types get so het up about this phrase.

For the record, I'm usually suspicious of women and Southerners at football matches, although there are certainly some good and dedicated ones along with the embarrassments.

Also, people who dress up at football matches are going out of their way to be looked at and judged. They're attention-seekers. Pointing that out is hardly a crime against your fellow fan. You'd say the same if you saw some idiot in a jester hat on the high street.

Surely only people of a certain vintage have the experience to measure what is or is not a real fan?

If some 15 year old kid says Tinchy Stryder is an all time great, would you pull him up and tell him to hold his horses?

    I think you would!

Everyone and anyone can be an enthusiastic fan.

Not everyone stays the course unfortunately

Those that do in my opinion have a long term view and have been tested more than newer ones

All are welcome to chip in to the HCFC coffers of course

But don't tell me some face painted grown man in a Tiger suit who gets a buzz of high fiving Roary is a proper fan.

    Because he isn't.

No one was telling me that (ffs), I was just saying it

I just don't get this debate at all

People are unhappy about away ticket distribution under Duffen in the Premiership, as presumably they didn't end up in the hands of real fans.....just glory hunting Tarquin and Sophie from South Cave

So these new fans were entitled to them then?

Duffen's away ticket system was complete bollocks, but it had nothing to do with Tarquin and Sophie from South Cave.

His system was a ballot system, it was simply names picked out of a hat, it had **** all to do with how many games you'd been to, how much cash you had, or any other criteria, it was nothing more than pot luck.

It was a stupid system, he was a stupid man.

I go to almost every game and have done for years, I'm a Premier Club member, I know staff at the club, I know players at the club and I know directors of the club, but I still didn't get tickets for Old Trafford or Anfield in our first Premier League season. It had **** all to do with money, it was simply a ****ed up system to allocate tickets.
