For the first time in 20 years I’m going to be in the UK during the footie season.
I’m hoping to get to the Brentford game at St Mary’s, and have a few questions I’d be grateful for answers to if anyone has the time.
In no particular order…
If I buy tickets online do they have to be sent to a UK address? Is this usually reliable? Can you pick them up instead?
What time do the gates open on match day? What are the queues like?
Can you take in food/drink?
Do they sell pies?
Any covid restrictions?
I’ll be taking my 12 year old daughter, any recommendations on ‘friendly’ seating areas?
Many thanks in advance, all replies and advice gratefully accepted!

I can't answer all your questions but;

The turnstiles open 1 1/2 hrs before KO.

There is a fanzone at the southern end of the car park that opens 2hrs before KO. You can buy food and drink and watch an earlier match on the big screen. You will need to show your match tickets to get in and it's open air with no shelter if I remember correctly.

They do sell pies and unless they've changed from last season, they are surprisingly nice. You can't take bottles or cans into the ground and even plastic bottles have to have the tops removed. Not sure about food but I can't see anywhere on the website that says you can't.

No covid restrictions.

There is a family area which I think now includes the Chapel Stand (you will have to check that) but I'm not sure if that would protect you from bad language if that is a concern. Other than that, apart from the Northam or Itchen North, anywhere should be ok. You could be unlucky and get some foul mouthed idiot sit behind you wherever you go, but from a safety point of view it shouldn't be a problem.

The ticket office will be able to answer your ticket queries. I'VE JUST NOTICED THAT BRENTFORD TICKETS ARE ALREADY ON GENERAL SALE.
