Am I alone in thinking the club's prices for home matches are a tad, er, ambitious? I was expecting £20 something for matches like Rotherham. It's £30, for members, for the Upper Loft (Gold). Excluding £3.00 booking fee. There are lots and lots of tickets available. Same prices for Cardiff, a televised match. Again lots of tickets available.

The renewal prices for season ticket holders were good (just not a feasible option for me this season), and loyaltly (so close to stupidity.....) should be rewarded. But will this attract new suppoort? The most expensive ticket at Brentford for adults for any game is £27.00, and there is a big range available at Fulham.
 
Ambitious and unrealistic. It'll be full if we are playing well and top six. They'll struggle to get 14000 in if we are mid-table and it could be a fair bit worse if we are struggling.

Away tickets seem a fair bit more than two years ago. £27.50 for Huddersfield and £28 for Wolves.

We've been fleeced at the turnstile for years and put up with it because of the so-called quality and attractive football. Fans of other clubs hate Loftus Road because they feel fleeced. I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't an element of revenge pricing in the cost of our away tickets. And it's all so short-sighted. Dear Mr Fernandes. Forget the 40,000 or even 30,000 stadium. There aren't enough mugs among the London tourists out there who will want to spend over £200 to take the family out to watch a relegation side in the Prem or a mid-table side in the Championship.

You will only grow a loyal fan base if local people can afford to go. Forget the Chelsea and Arsenal role models. Have a look at Germany where prices are cheap and stadia full all over the country

I think £30 is too expensive. If they want the stadium full then they are going to need to be a bit more creative with their pricing; especially with night games, pre-Christmas games, cup games etc. A lot of people who go to a game buy a programme and refreshments so it must make sense to get people through the gate with sensible pricing rather than put people off in the first place....I think they will 'see how it goes' and if gates are low we will see some initiatives to get people in.
 
I agree that the ticket prices are generally too expensive. However, I believe that, for the Rotherham game, tickets are £10 a pop in the lower loft.
 
...and now, as I am sure ST holders and members will have noticed, they are giving £10 tickets for 'friends and family' - for the Rotherham game - up to 4 per ST holder/member. So that's what I'll be paying Roller for his spare ticket.

Clearly not likely to be a full house, perhaps they will review and conclude that trying to sell tickets for what is a £20 at most game for £30 was unwise, and those members who did buy at £30 will be less than impressed.

Germany is a good model and benchmark.

Take a look at Borussia Dortmund:
Large crowds, full stadium, safe standing area, passionate and loyal suport, great atmosphere...and very sensible ticket pricing.

Plus they play play quite attractive football!

Very true. They are way ahead of us.

But, that is the direction that we should take (in my opinion). It is the way to build grass root support - and that does take time. We certainly should not follow the Arsenal or Chelsea "alternative" model.

It would be great for Loftus Road to be full every match with a rousing atmosphere and with lower priced tickets, rather than partially fully with higher prices.

But as it has been discussed on here before the whole set-up of the leagues and the teams are more fan orientated in Germany, here Gordon Gekko rules, ´greed is good´ and a number of the PL teams are nothing more than playthings (you could argue so are/were we).

The £10.00 tickets are only in the School End Lower.
