would rather it took 2 n half hours traveling down where i can stretch me legs etc, than cooked up on a coach 6 for 6 hours plus then same again for return journey.
^^^^This^^^^ and as such, anybody who handed their forms in to the ticket office Monday or whenever should not expect any e-mail of confirmation until the tickets are ready for collection.
They've already notified everyone who handed their forms in at the weekend and they'll be email those who handed them in Monday/Tuesday as soon as they've got them processed.

The bottom line is that there is no optimum solution, only various solutions. Price v speed, convenience v luxury- it's all good. Stanmore etc and M1 will be crowded as ****. FACT. Let's hope there is no repetition of the motorway madness that blighted the Arsenal away game.
Looks like they have changed what they said at first. All applicants were to get an email to confirm that receipt of application. Then again if you handed them in in person why do you need an email to confirm it. ? You dont.
Amusingly enough if everyone had gone the right way around the accident rather than right down to the traffic jam and down the official diversion the journey time would only have been 5 minutes longer. There couldn't have been a better place to get round a holdup on the m1.
I did post on here, but seemingly everyone ignored my advice. I live not 5 minutes from where it was. That section of the a50 struggles to cope with rush hour traffic at the best of times, lots of junctions, traffic lights, speed cameras, roundabouts etc. throw in an m1 diversion and you'd make progress better off road across muddy fields on a pogo stick.
Would just be comforting to know that the piece of paper that I handed over had been processed and wasn't stuck in a crack down the back of an office desk, that's all.
It will probably be queued up in the order the paper forms are handed over in the same way our electronic versions will be stored on their computer/database. Then it's just a case of them matching up the tickets with the people.
I suppose one good thing about been a pass holder but not filling and returning a form is that you will be able to go in on Tuesday onwards and pick your seat
