Was that for a single ticket in the UK? I only paid £1.60 for my Wolves ticket! Neveroffside ... seriously? Chelsea double our crowd every week, are worth 1 1/4 £billion (of which over a £1 billion is a loan from Abramavich payable at 18 months notice), have annual revenues more than 4 times ours.
Apart from the booking fee payable if you book personally at the ticket Office, it seems that the online charges are now being reduced. Is someone at the Club listening?? It coincides with a reduction in ticket prices for the FA Cup 4th Round Replay......and free buses to go to Notts County. Has the Club suddenly got a heart?? Or does it coincide with the ever increasing media attention being given to SCSA and the forthcoming meeting on Feb 1st??
A new EU directive came into place on the 13th January 2018 banning all credit card charges. Despite the Conservatives claiming it was something they introduced it was actually based on that directive, which the UK would have received penalties for if not brought into our law. This means when making purchases companies/retailers can no longer charge you a CC Fee. However, the problem it causes it now leaves the seller at a loss as they i believe still have to pay their merchant/bank. So you will see booking fees become more evident. Although on the same date Open Banking also became another directive. This is supposed to allow customers to be able to deal directly with retailers ie cutting out the middle man...the bank/merchant. Whereas eventually it is hoped to replace the need for cards at all. It's early days but in the meantime you can be sure retailers will raise the cost of prices to cover for the lost revenue in CC charges. All of this is meant to make things fairer for customers, sadly i can see it doing quite the opposite and seeing customers getting ripped off as retailers will certainly not bear the loss themselves.
All i got was "Tickets Purchased" Area EL8, Row D, Seat 234, Adult, Face Value $35 (I dont have a pound sign) does that classify as my ticket?
