Last season when I purchased tickets at the ticket office, there was no charge or ticket fee, not sure how they can justify this if you pay cash.....<ok>

They cant Dragon.....It is a Scam and nothing but a scam that needs to be outlawed......When you buy your ticket the price should include administration costs and them costs should be pennies not pounds with the amount bought per game.

These Yanks are far from value for money, it's like when you go to the Odeon, and they want £3.50 for a bag of sweets that is £1.50 from the corner shop, it's taking the mick as I see it................<ok>

Another scam is VAT....Why should anyone buy anything and find that you are not paying the price advertised and have to pay more......You buy something that costs a few thousand and you will see what VAT does to your purchase price.......

Wait until the Tories put Vat on 'all imports', at the minute it's only on goods outside the EU, but all that is set to change with Brexit......................<ok>

Some serious levels of hysteria on here tonight.

Our first connection with Ticketmaster was

Swansea City FC sign up with R&SS
    10/06/2015
We are proud to announce that Swansea City FC have installed a new Retail System supplied by Retail & Sports Systems Limited.
The new system integrates with Ticketmaster Single Sign On and Sports Alliance Club Loyalty Cash scheme.

Ticketmaster took over all ticketing with the renewal of season tickets and in preparation for the law changes on Jan 3rd.
If you buy tickets in cash from the ticket office they are processed by Ticketmaster who also organise seat allocations.
I would argue Ticketmaster could be in breach of the law by claiming 2% additional cost if processing Credit Card Payments.

Other clubs using Ticketmaster have the same fees (Spurs' are higher)

    I will be paying less.

Each full house sees just 6,000 tickets on sale of those with less than a 200 paid for in cash. I'd estimate overall fee payments will be less this season than last or the season before.

    Old System (online)
    4 Tickets x £15 = £60 + £3 booking fee = £63

    New System (online)
    4 Tickets x £15 = £60 + £1.60 booking fee per ticket = £66.40

Old System (in person at the ticket office)
    4 Tickets x £15 = £60
New System (via phone or in person at the ticket office)
    4 Tickets x £15 = £60 + £2.50 booking fee per ticket = £70

Bob - the Swans (Yanks) identified an opportunity to make more money for SSMC (which they will own 100% soon) ie over and above what is paid to Ticketmaster.

Why should ticketmaster be involved when walking up and paying in cash?
    Please excuse my ignorance.
