We we're lucky got off the slip road at Harthill before the crash at Shotts , know a few that never go into halftime and a couple that turned around and never went at all . Pot 1 arsenal pot 2 braga pot 3 Anderlect for me !!!
That's what I want - draw is at 16:30. I want to get Chelsea, Man U or Arsenal in pot 1 - meaning we don't get Man City in pot 2 The hardest draw, I reckon would be Barca/Real Man City Juve
I'm not bothered about a hard draw tbh ... chances are we wont make it out the group anyways being in pot 4 .. but would be good to get a few good glamor matches and maybe make them think twice about playing us and writing off Scottish football.
Don't want Chelsea , their horrible fans attract trouble , the most important pot is 3 , that is the team we're competing against to stay in Europe after Christmas with .
I reckon if we get teams that play in leagues with mostly smallish stadia without intimidating atmospheres (like Braga and, to a lesser extent, Lille), we could put the ****s right up them just with the noise. It worked with Benfica - they were a far better team than us but they shat it at Celtic Park and we beat them fairly convincingly - they weren't the only team to have been caught in the headlights at Parkhead on a CL night, either The Glasgow's Green n White chant was the loudest I've ever heard it last night - lots of teams in the CL (Italian, Spanish etc) might be used to that type of noise but I still think the racket we can make can affect teams
My favourite moment was when the Helsingborg fans started piping up, and the whole stadium started a chant of "Who are ya"
If there were they didn't make that much noise and ended up looking like a bunch of fannies Fair play to the Helsingborg fans though, they stayed to the death and didn't pile out, even staring 4-0 in the face!
Saw on a Rangers forum our home game with st Johnstone has been moved from sat 10 th to sun 11th November because it clashes with a div 3 game , but more importantly we are now playing on remembrance Sunday , a stitch up by the sfa !!!!
Im sure they are just attempting to extend the hand of friendship, with a little sense of mea culpa, across europe.
not if a certain section of supporters dont act like a bunch of pricks...."stitch up by the sfa", do you really mean that ?
yeah they were actually a decent enough bunch albeit only about 200? of them they did stop singing after the 1st goal though
Apparently they have a right wing ethos but they were good fun on the night the tiny little section they had. Up until the 1st goal went in they were the loudest in the ground, even over the green brigade!
