Did you notice how many times the favourite got his nose in front of Libertarian in the final furlong and each time Libertarian said **** off you ain't passing me. It was quite amusing. Says something about the winner.
The winner has little chance at Epsom...will get left behind. That was a poor Dante and I'd like to see the winner replicate that run...it fell into his lap today. I'm suspicious!
20/1 for the Derby is an insult, the Chester Vase winner is single figures and literally beat trees, that was the strongest Derby trial run in Britain or Ireland by a country mile, the winner is by the Champion Derby winning sire out of a Darshaan mare, hes only had 3 runs and will improve for the step up in trip. If Indian Chief had won he would have went single figures, 20/1 is a cracking e/w bet about Libertarian, they knew they had a good horse and hes proved it today.
Don't be surprised if Libertarian runs a cracker in the Derby. Not only is he by the great New Approach but he has English and French Derby winners on the dam side. His pedigree and the way he battled on and went away at the finish would suggest that 12f will suit him even better.
lads. Indian Chief will be a good 4yo if he stays in training. Don't think he will win much this season though. My bet on him at 33s for the Derby is a loser
well see, I like him and there isnt many in the Derby field I can say that about, he gets the trip, the fav wont, he wont be far away in a weak Derby.
Lord Redsgirth has failed over 3m twice since moving from Lucinda Russell. This trip should suit more in an open race I think he is good value at 16/1 at Perth
Oh FFS, really not sure I can be bothered to go and collect my £3 back from a £45 lucky 15, can't hit a thing today
It's not often I agree with MOG, but I whole heartedly agree with him on this one If he was trained at Newmarket, he'd be challenging DA for favouritism!
That's ridiculous with the Cowboys & Indians horses again - why didn't I put a silly wee bet on them?
