I cannot believe that I'm the only one whose backing Solwit against the mighty mare in the World Hurdle. I'm either going to look decidedly cleverer than the rest of yous or else have backed another loser <laugh>

It's beeforsalmon against the forum. Solwit 6/4 <ok>

Have had a tiny afternoon e/w dabble on Maybeagrey of Tim Easterby. He is off bottom weight in a good handicap, but he is one of the horses who will definitely enjoy the mile and a half test.

Obviously some stiff competition but he looked of a wee bit of value to make the frame.

Interesting to hear what the jocks reckon to the ground at Punchy...looks very testing.

Maarito's race was weird though was it not? Either you think you have a decent enough horse to run in the Jewson - in which case run him in the chase later on or you think you have a handicapper surely. Why go back to hurdles? I didn't see the race mind so I could be talking out of my arse.

Pass The Hat ran ok to finish 4th,needs 2m4f as alluded to,but just noticed that old dog De Valira was withdrawn after causing a false start leaving 15 runners and screwing up my e/w punt!! <doh>

F*** it!

Bostons Angel has some nice weight reversals from Cheltenham here and the excellent 4th there ought to stand him in good stead.

At bigger prices, I wonder if Saddlers Storm can mount a revivival in this testing ground, having been out the back at Cheltenham? They would be my two against the field.

Think they may have been trying to get the horses confidence back after his fall. It's possible he schooled poorly after Cheltenham and this was decided on as the plan.

He jumped terribly the whole way round and is one to watch at present although he probobly won't be seen until Galway.

The once promising Star Neuville has his firat run for Enda Bolger here on the X Country circuit.

Interesting but no bet.

Al Zarooni hearing results coming through:

15 horses affected banned for 6 months (until 9 Oct)
