i'm sure stick might have an opinion , team FOB head to newbury with the exciting Cap Soliel starting his hurdling campaign , the opposition looks strong , but he has strong form in the book , as for their bumper horse , what can you say apart from the stable is carrying all before it in these races ........

CAP SOLEIL is very exciting and looks a great hurdling prospect. Cannot tell you much about the bumper horse at all but there was a lot of buzz and banter surrounding the one they send to Ludlow for the Conditionals & Amateur race (Chilli Romance). Its the lads first ride under rules and it sounded like Fergal was very keen for him to have the best possible chance.

Last time I looked Cap Soleil was a she ..................... that's why she's running in the mares novice hurdle <ok> ;)

Competitive heat with Dame Rose and Countister very interesting and I wouldn't be rushing to take 13/8 about Cap Soleil. One to watch with the old notebook out I reckon.

whoops , my mistake , still a good horse !! on that note Colin's Sister who won so well on sat looks like a male , very well built, a la clare balding ?

In the 18.35 Chelmsford the 3 newcomers (Nos 2, 3 and 4) look very interesting. Wouldn't want to bet in the race but just interested

Chelmsford 19.15. I'm going for a speculative ew on Thair at 20/1. This was a Group horse as a 2yo. He's now 7 but 2 years ago he won a G2 in Turkey on the AW - Polytrack with Grendisar 7l behind (carrying a stone more than he carries tomorrow). Since then he has run only on turf until 2 weeks ago when 33/1 running on 5th of 14 on the tapeta at Newcastle after being checked when making a run on the inside. With a clear run would have finished much closer than the 7l he was beaten You can watch the race here . He's back on the polytrack tomorrow, with 11lb less to carry.

Comes back on a very handy mark having missed the whole of last season due to injury. The handicapper has dropped him 10lbs which seems pretty standard these days. The two offputting factors are the yards lack of form and the lack of support for it when others are being backed.
Is it a qualifier????
