Newmarket 3:35 Volatile Analyst 22/1

I put this up a couple weeks ago as one I'll be keeping an eye on this summer, won at Ayr the other week on return, not overly impressive but got the job done. First time in a handicap tomorrow and going off top weight so will be a big ask against some unexposed and improving horses but the run behind Golden Horde and Threat in the Richmond Stakes last year looks very good form, could be worth sticking with. Should get a run for your money at decent odds anyway, hopefully!

Last years winner was drawn 20, as is this one.

Lawn Ranger is intriguing tomorrow, double figure odds and potentially gets an easy lead at a course that has been very kind to front runners. Young Callum Shepherd is a jockey I like and he can get a good tune from this handicapper.

I looked at that one Fabio. Definitely looks over priced to me. Don't fancy the fav and would prefer 25/1 Mr Snowdon, who looked useful before disappointing on soft ground, and 13/2 Meraas

4:50 York

A few on here will know that I am not a fan of Solo Saxophone, and although many on here say he wood win(d) today, I think he has to be taken on.

So who with? Edinburgh Castle is the one that catches my eye, I've done a bit of homework and found that his sire, the great Sea The Stars has a remarkable 22 wins from 95 runners over this trip, which surprised me but also pleased me greatly. This horse has been sparingly raced, and whilst last time didn't go very well (raced wide), he does have a profile that suggests that this race is within his compass.

Edit - It is also interesting to note that Oisin Murphy is back on, who was the jockey to win on him on heavy ground at Epsom.

And Balding's string is in fine form..Will have a dabble on this Nass:emoticon-0148-yes:

Im having a go on Keith Dalgleish's pair at York.
12.55 - Dark Lochnager 12/1
5.20 - Universal Gleam 33/1
E/w singles and double.
Good to see racing return to York. Lovely track and set up, missed our annual work day out at the dante this year, always a cracking festival and kick starts the flat season well.

13:15 Newmarket - Almufti

15:00 Newmarket - Tactical

(Both sired by Toronado, and both have excellent form to do well in these two events. Distances and the good-to-soft ground should suit them. Ryan Moore on board the first, and William Buick the second. Almufti currently available at 7/2, and Tactical a rather measly 5/2! Win on each and an e/w double.)

Good luck today if you have a wager fellas! <cheers>

Ground has the word soft in it and Mr Snowdon taken out. I will be on him when the ground is right, especially at those odds

Words that you really don't want to hear, once your money is down ..... "Pocket Square isn't fully fit and will come on for the run" Grrrrrr!

Charlton failed to win a G1 with Bated Breath, has had a shocker with what looked to be the best 2yo filly last year Quadrilateral, don't know why Abdullah persists.
