The forum's second favourite owner, old boy Ponsonby, introduces Sword Beach to hurdles in the next at Taunton. Hot contest though and he'll do well to hit the frame.

(French-bred gelding certainly has a chance in this very open handicap hurdle. Decent form and conditions will suit. Talented conditional Sean Houlihan takes the ride for the Philip Hobbs stable. 4/1 best price at time of writing, freely available).

Old boy Ponsonby will be fed-up, no doubt, and might transfer him to Looootenant N. Henderson for further training and therapy? Just a thought. <whistle> :bandit:

Good run by CQ under a big weight; game in the last 2f, and the winner could be a bit useful.

(Ran a good race to finish second in this fair-sized field, but had just too much ground to make-up to catch the winner, who was very well-ridden).
