I do not intend to turn this forum into a battle ground like the old 606, so I'm not going to react to any bickering anymore! Oscar Whisky has only been beaten in his last 2 races, which have both been over 3 miles. The last time he ran over 2 and a half he won in December. He is also unbeaten over 2 and a half, apart from the one time when he fell at the last travelling all over Overturn giving him 7 pounds. It was a very hot Aintree hurdle 2 years ago with Binocular and Peddlers Cross showing up, yet OW and TS fought out the finish. It was a hot renewal last year when Rock On Ruby and Zarkandar opposed, yet neither could get anywhere near OW. People always make the common mistake of backing on CH form and other Cheltenham form, when in reality Cheltenham form rarely translates well to the Aintree hurdle
Aintree Hurdle Countrywide Flame - Handicapper Grandouet - Bridle horse, non stayer Oscar Whisky - Bottomed by fight with Reve De Sivola Prospect Wells - Outclassed Raya Star - Handicapper Saphir River - Who? Thousand Stars - Been around for a thousand years Zarkandar - Excruciatingly slow The New One - New kid on the block, too hot for this lot to handle The Champion hurdle form is poor, Countrywide Flame 2nd tells you everything, Hurricane Fly isnt quite as electric as he used to be. The New One destroyed a couple of top novices off a crawl last time, he has too much speed for them except for his only danger Grandouet, and I think he will see it out better than him, if that one even completes the course.
Hi all favourite days racing of the year being from Liverpool here are my bets for the day Rolling star Quito da la roquue - ew Grandouet Bold Addition Viva Colonia - ew Captain Conan Lienosus - ew good luck to all
spot on in my eyes but i think it will be a great watch and a great winner, me im with stick the new one,,,very impressed when i saw it run at chelts and i honestly think a new star if not born today will shine very bright good luck to all and please please stop all this bickering you all contirbute very good stuff on here,,, i know most of you are real as ive met ones who have met other ones and to be honest we all seem to be good sorts so let the good times roll s t a y f r o s t y
I don't 'advise' people what to waste their hard earned on Bob, merely tell them what I'm backing occasionally. I don't always have a chance to post on here as real life sometimes gets in the way although I can post pictures of some recent bet receipts if you like? Are you able to do that?
Drever. Do you mind please shutting the **** up. I dont think anyone wants to see this forum descend into a bbcesque farce. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Was a grade 2 Shergy, where he beat Sarando 128(generous) a neck. Ive always liked Quito and he came back to form last time in a strong race for the grade, but he has a mountain to climb if Conti runs his race.
Stick we're you not the one throwing his weight around when The Weasel posted up a losing tip? I also notice you seem to take a jab at him when he posts so is it one rule for you and another for me? Anyway, back in your box, there's a good boy. This is what you do Bob, have posted up bets over the past few days (note that losers are included)...
Aintree 2.00 Irish Saint 7/2 2.30 Conti evs 3.05 The New One 7/2 3.40 Warne 13/2 4.15 Silver Roque 11/1 NAP 4.50 Carlito Brigante 7/1
Fair enough, thought it was a G1. Still stand by the selection though. I agree if the real SC shows up then he'll struggle with him, but would you bank on it after the Gold Cup less than 3 weeks ago. Look at recent Gold Cup runners who have run in the bowl, Denman, Kauto Star and Imperial Commander have all flopped. Your better off being on a horse that bypassed Cheltenham
Well said Dan and Stick, I know I've been involved in a fair share of bickering with other protagonists on here. It's not good for the forum so lets leave the handbags at ten paces at home lads and concentrate on the racing
I totally get ye, one difference with those 3 you mentioned tho, Conti is a flat track bully, made for Aintree, the others were all very good at Cheltenham
The Weasel made a separate thread full of drivel that was begging to be shot down and you ****ing well know it. You only come on here looking to pick a fight. Obviously something missing in your life!
Fair enough Wayward, just seems others are allowed to have a pop. Mind you, it is a bit clique this forum. Anyway, handbag down. Off to work I go, will be on again about 9pm so you can all have a good pop at my losers for today!! Enjoy the racing, lucky sods, and good luck all!!
Same for me Drever with Grandouet tbh though not a fan of sticking up bets with amounts on. I certainly can't afford to bet some of the stakes you have atm but that still doesn't take away the buzz for me if I get a winner. XD
Everything I say on here with regards to being the 'Champ' is 100% tongue in cheek. I thought most people understood that. I used to post under a different guise but that was banned because I fell out with management. I started another account and this one has been left open as we agreed to draw a line under the previous disagreement. Saying i'm Shergar or whoever is so far wide of the mark it's laughable. I have never said I am a pro punter. I did win 5 figures at Cheltenham on a treble on SS, Quevega and Simonsig and a quad with Hurricane Fly. My biggest bet other than that was Make Your Mark where I had a lot of money spread over 3 accounts at 20/1. He came fourth so the each way return was good but the win would have more than doubled my treble win. I have already put up a bet receipt for the 20/1 winner on Sunday because I was having a laugh about it at the time. You can choose to believe me or not but I have never lied about what i stake or what I back. I bet much more at the big festivals than I usually do throughout the year because I think there's an edge for the punter at those times. To be fair to me I am one of the quickest to congratulate if someone has had a good winner. It's a shame not everyone on here does the same. I agree with Heis and Stick. Let's just a draw a line under it lads.
