Well done anyone who had the runaway winner in the 3.05 Meydan Silva dotted up by nearly ten lengths at double carpet. Razeena was very slowly away and looked very short of pace, resigned to choking on the kickback all the way. Some other dismal efforts, particularly Lover's Knot, who was well backed into 7/2 but only beat two home. Razeena did get closer to Al Hayette this time, beaten half a length, compared to 4 lengths previously. Little consolation in 10th and 11th. I am not sure how the assessors can accurately rate the winner. The official rating for the runner-up coming in was 97 compared to the winner on 82, so with the 75 rated Lady Parma only a head away in third, it seems safe to assume Divine Image has run well short of her rating.
Just reading through deadline day transfers and seen that Pele has signed for Notts Forest. Surely his best years are behind him?
Better effort from Razeena today, third place at 40/1. Divine Image won narrowly at odds on but only had a neck to spare over a 79 rated filly. Silva beat Divine Image last time by almost ten lengths, but was 12 lengths in arrears this time. With a 22 length turnaround in three weeks it doesn't inspire confidence in consistent form.
