Good Luck <ok>

Mutawakked 7.00 Newbury 7/1(may drift)
Looks like the owners second string but I reakon Brian Meehan's horse would come on more for their first run. This one ran a nice race finishing third behind Somebody To Love who could be a decent horse. Step up in trip should suit him.

Captain Cat has his last run for us before he goes hurdling.

Captain Cat

Captain Cat has been a star for us and at the grand old age of 7 he is destined for new pastures. Having earned £290k and winning the AW championships and two Group 3’s he has been a wonderful horse who has given plenty of enjoyment. He is a real character and will be sadly missed.

He saw too much daylight in the Hunt Cup as he sliced through them. Sadly there are no other races for him to run on the flat before he leaves us, and his last run will be on shocking ground, which he is not a fan of. We hoped for the best in his swansong.

Some selections on breeding in the 2yo races:

Winning Ways 1430 Hay: nicely bred son of Lope de Vega from a Lord Derby family. Should appreciate the soft ground.
Jumira Bridge 1420 Yar Invincible Spirit colt out of a daughter of Russian Rythm
Metronomic 1845 Eps Roderic O'Connar out of a Meon Valley family (Milligram)
Sky Ballerina 1825 New Makfi colt tracing back to a Lady Beaverbrook purchase (In the Spotlight is interesting though).
Good Craic 1900 New Invincible Spirit colt from Royal Academy family

Portugal deserved that goal after the awful decision by Brych not to give them a penalty moments beforehand. He's normally a good referee, but that was bad, he was right on top of the foul. Probably will receive a lot of Polish sausages for that piece of poor judgement.......<whistle>

Absolute rubbish.

Sky Ballerina is the one to take out of this pile

Haydock

630 Musharrif - Ger O'Neil was in the plate a short while back and was very prominent then so the drop back in trip looks favourable. Musharrif should handle the conditions. 4s

700 Bonnie Arlene - 4th seems to be a permanent place for Bonnie but I have a feeling that could change today and 8s looks big.

730 Perceys Vivace - with only two going the distance before and in these conditions I have to go with one of them .
Perceys was beat by torremar when they met but with a weight swing and 16s on offer my choice has been made.

830 Chosen Charactor - this gets the nod it goes well at the track and won't mind the conditions. 6s

715 Victoire de Lymphar 12s
