AP won the first at Stratford earlier and i think he may do so again at Hereford in there 1st race... Churchfield Champ...
7.00 Hereford Hanahoe 33/1 I thought Alex Hales's 7 year old travelled very promisingly on his last start at Uttoxeter last month in a Novice Hurdle over 2m4f. He had a very tough task in that race with the front two horses home Wayward Glance and Cosmic Wonder being far superior to him and with about 3 hurdles left their class told as he came home a well beaten but eased 5th. He should find life much easier now returned to handicap company and a mark of 81 certainly looks workable to me as he showed some decent enough form in bumpers. The step up in trip looks like it will suit as well and with Will Kennedy on board again I definitely think Hahahoe will outrun his price in this weak event.
A long time ago whilst plotting and scheming round the large numbers of Scottish greyhound flapping tracks where dogs run under various pseudonyms my able partner in crime swore by keeping the names of the dogs short. Bee, Fly, Buzz...etc ...the logic was that when you were going for a gamble and had to get cash on quick with board prices diminishing it wasn't a mouthful to get out...' I'll have 6 for 2 Fly'....a lot easier than 'I'll have 6 got 2 St Nicholas Abbey'...!!!
I thought Fantasy Gladiator 18/1 looked an interesting e/w bet against the hotpot 3 year olds here at Kempton. Nicely handicapped, goes well at the track (3 from 8) and was a 3.5 length winner off a mark of 80 here a while ago. Beschizza claims 3 so effectively running off just 76 tonight. Has just been too keen lately so I'd like to see him held up a bit more today just off the pace and then ask the market principles some questionables.

SOHO ROCKS 16-1 could be interesting in the last. This headstrong filly has failed to see out a mile in her last two runs and is dropped back to 7f. If the Milkshake allows her to bowl along in front she could take some catching. There isnt anything in the race that looks particularly well treated and the fav TRIPLE CHARM seems to keep finding ways to lose. Soho Rocks could spring a surprise, 8 runners so three places!
Thanks Stick, I was sweating all the way round as thought was in such a bad position with that slow pace but did it very cosily in the end. Cheers Don, really pleased
Not sure it was very cosy blue.... think there was alot that could have gone wrong there and got a bit of luck nearly getting a clear run but won well. Could it be stepped up in trip next time or was it the slow pace?
As I mentioned pre race Don, the horse has a knack of being unlucky! Ideal race tonight with only eight runners and did it well but as a hold up horse there is always a danger of him finding trouble. I will be backing mine again nto!
I think it was cosy Don because he had a terrible position but once he got his run he cut through without trouble and Frankie eased right off at the line. I think todays trip is his best trip and he won due to his class despite things like the slow pace and poor position conspiring against him. He would be seen at his best over a stiff 7f rather than polytrack but if he was stepped up and the pace was strong he may not see it out. The confidence today was due to the opposition not being great but this said i had a lot of respect for Choral that finished 3rd.
