I think Butterflyvespiere at 18/1 is a big enough price in the opening Beginners chase at Clonmel. Open enough looking race and I'll take the chance with 3 places being paid.

Have a good day all.

1:50 is an interesting race, it has more than three runners which is a nice start. It is a mares chase too, which makes this even more surprising. It is a shame we have only 7 runners, but we have two that have almost identical profiles and both are very interesting,

We have a jolly who has been drifting, and given she is trained by someone who I have in my "Avoid if drifting" system, it does make you wonder if she is vulnerable today. As such the race is open for punting...

Penny Mallow & Ballingers Corner

Two horses who have been off for over a year, both trained by Venetia Williams and both have been nibbled in the market. Penny Mallow has the more inexperienced jockey, and she doesn't have the added wind op first time, which we often see with Venetia Williams break returners.

However, both have the back form to make them interesting in a race that perhaps lacks depth. Penny Mallow was a good bumper horse, whilst Ballingers Corner won a point to point, and is very lightly raced. Both have potential improvement in them, and importantly both have the right profile to win a race like this one.

I think you can take the pair against the field, and hope that Penny Mallow wins out of the two.

Well supported but no joy. Went to the very well backed favourite in the end.
