Good Luck <ok>

I certainly don’t think it’s beyond the realms of possibility (nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more…) to suggest that Henry Candy’s CANFORD TOR could improve dramatically on his handicap bow of the morrow (Newbury 8.00).

The gelding races off 67 tomorrow and is stepped up in trip by a furlong to a mile – extremely noteworthy because last time out he stayed on, and I do mean stayed on, in most eye-catching fashion. Meanwhile, that performance alone looks solid (without factoring in the ‘improvement’ that will probably come from the horse stepping into handicap company and going up in trip) as Plutonian, who finished 1.25 lengths in front of Canford Tor that day, dotted up by 10 lengths at Royal Windsor on Monday.

Other positives are that old boy Henry is in decent form with, at the time of writing, 3 of his last 8 horses winning. Whilst, Canford Tor’s dam was also classy being a Grade 1 winner in Argentina.

Like this one, people.

Try my luck on a couple today in hope of winning loads of cash to invest on a Supercar when I visit Goodwood FOS tomorrow :)

4.15 Newc PENSAX LADY. Goes well on Tapeta and runs here for the first time. My mate had a horse with this yard and he mentioned that when they only have the odd runner out and with a decent jockey on they normally fancy it. They've had several runners lately with young apprentices on and not many winners. May come last but it has caught my eye.
5.20 Newc SAFE VOYAGE. Also goes well here and has won twice over cd. Young jockey taking off useful 7lb could make the difference.
Newmarket double, KHAMAARY and SURREY HOPE.

look at the form of its first two runs and the ride it was given at newcastle on 3rd run

only a matter of time, thought today was the day with crowley on

Typical, first one to be pushed along and whipped and beat only one home.

Despite some top trainers running debutantes this next at Newbury looks very weak for the track. I want to watch it so had a bit EW on TIG TOG who should improve from the debut run.
