It’s been raining here, on and off, since 6 a.m. And the last weather forecast that I saw said ‘showers’ were to continue until mid-day of the morrow.
Same here smokeyThe weather where I am is beautiful, it's been a couple of weeks since I've seen rain in this little corner of Yorkshire
Seemed to be in a promising position then never really kicked on!!Might be just me but I thought Squire was given a very gentle ride there.

Haven't seen any of the racing as I'm tied up but, just looking at the SP of 33/1 and beaten over 16l he's either regressed (but then why run him?) or the jockey was getting a feel for another touch at Newmarket. It's a guessing gameGood luck with Squire. The big question is this.
Has he regressed over the last 2 years?
On 25th September Squire finished 2nd in the Silver Cambridgeshire (9f) btn 1¼l running on under 9.6 (Rob Havlin riding). That was a Class 2 handicap. 2 months before that he ran over today's C&D in a Class 4 handicap (again ridden by Rob Havlin and carrying 9.10) he was 2l behind the winner, conceding 14lb (4lb more then wfa)
Today he runs in a Class 5 handicap carrying 8.11.
The other thing is that, since his last run on turf 11 months ago, he has been running on the AW bringing his OR down from 72 to 65 (his highest OR was 80, 13 months ago). AND, I seem to recall stick saying he is 10lb better on turf (correct me if I am misquoting, stick). On that assumption alone that would place him on a current "turf" OR of 75, again placing him well in on the weights
Based on the above, this makes the 16/1 look ridiculous as he ought to be near fav, if not fav
Hence my crunch question, has he regressed? If not this is "Have it off with Squire day" folks
If that 16/1 collapses I think we could have the answer right there
The jockey booking is interesting. First time up for Ryan Tate. Is he good?
She certainly rocks the bin liner look which many couldn't.Francesca looking very slinky![]()

I'm the last here at Sandown I think Chevalier is worth an ew punt at 25s
should soften the carrots!!!!It’s been raining here, on and off, since 6 a.m. And the last weather forecast that I saw said ‘showers’ were to continue until mid-day of the morrow.
Makes sense to me. He was clearly the best horse in the race but just couldn't seem to get his action going; almost like he was pulling a truckIf you didnt see the racing Gosden said Without Parole needed the run as has done nothing at home since bruising the foot before the 2000G and Dettori said the sticky ground didnt suit him. Take from that what you will.
