Not getting cocky, but McPherson/woods should've had a winner yesterday brought down on the flat when about to challenge.had a winner today and red admiral runs tomorrow in the 1.50 hunt. I was at Huntingdon Boxing Day and backed this horse but was beaten into fourth by a good mare. This race don't look much and this front runner could Nick this. Given an easy lead it's had to peg back at Huntingdon. Backer beware my form is ****e.
Smooth Operator 4.20 Southwell 9/1 One of my tracker horses, and think it could be good enough to go close at least. At 9/1 can be backed e/way. Good luck all!
From my tracker - Rene's Girl in the 16.05 at Huntingdon. This is a mare going places and 9-4 is quite generous in my opinion.
MAZALTO runs in the 2.20 Huntingdon. It was in my tracker from last April, when I wrote: ''Given rubbish ride over 1M4F at Kempton 8.45 April 7th. Kept too far off pace. Took a while to unwind anyway, then ran on very well in final furlong, too late to get placed but overtook quite a few. Shld win NTO.'' It didn't win NTO, hasn't won in 4 attempts since, 2 of them at Goodwood over Im 6F and 2M, then 2 at Lingersover 2M, one turf, then lastly (after 189 day break) on a/w on Feb 3rd. Seems they've tried it on different surfaces and distances and tracks on Flat, now it goes hurdling first time. It's always showed ability, without winning. Yes, perhaps best watched first time, but I see that good conditional Sean Houlihan is on board, and takes 7lb off - and he's riding here for his uncle, Pat Phelan. At the 100/1 available with quite a few, I'm on with a lil e/w, cos I still remember being impressed with that Kempton run. I note that Ladcrooks is offering lowest odds of anybody, 50/1.
4.10 Thurles Captainofthefleet 20/1 Bit speculative but well weighted, good mark and previously won this race.
I like RED ADMIRABLE today also, comes out top on my ratings in a not too deep handicap. The yard is hitting form and Kielan is one of the most underrated jockeys around. Currently 15/2 but looking at the markets he will go off considerably shorter.
4:40 Hunt - KINCORA FORT 7/2 I think this can follow up it's last time out win with the 2nd from that race bolting up next time. Same ownership had Galactic Power win yesterday and this can make it a good couple of days for the syndicate.
Must havea flutter runs in this also, ran out a comfortable 10L winner Sunday and I think it could be good enough. Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Hello, troops. Hope everyone well. Broadway Dreams did much as expected yesterday. Weak in the market and you undoubtedly draw the conclusion that it was a ‘sighter’ for another day and that the run will bring him forward enormously. Although the old boy would unquestionably have been closer (not saying for one moment he would have won but a place was possible) had he not been thumped on the bally old nose by a rivals whip as the kicks in the belly and the slaps on the rump were starting to be administered. Look out for Broadway Dreams in a handicap hurdle in the not too distant future that is the big advice. I do wonder, incidentally, if they will try a bit of skulduggery and attempt to ‘hide’ him by running him at an ‘elsewhere’ card during the Festival. People, is the best bet of Cheltenham week Broadway Dream?!? Meanwhile, I see Saturday’s Grade 2 ‘Dovecote’, at Kempton, could be a complete corker of a contest if the unraced trio all remain in. We have Princess Camilla’s Carntop, Lieutenant Henderson’s Humphrey Bogart and Mr Ponsonby’s Scarlet Dragon. All 3 named people are hugely popular on the forum, of course, so I’m sure many members will have mixed allegiances. A race to watch together with the old notebook though, methinks. As you will only really be guessing, re how any of them will fare over timber, until battle begins in earnest. Good luck, team.
I am amazed at the effort that Elliot has in running back to Blow By Blow over 2m 4f, today in Thurles again. It's clear that the horse is not the same after the injury but if at some distance it can stand out it is about 3m. I hope he runs at the Albert Bartlett although he has it very difficult. I would be happy if he won today but his distance is what it is.
Well I’m on I see that the entries for the ‘Imperial Cup’ were made yesterday. It would appear that the Lieutenant is attempting the ‘Festival bonus’ with Whatswrongwithyou. Currently perched on 139 he will run off this at Sandown Park and then if successful an additional 6 lbs in something like the County Hurdle, Coral Cup or ‘Daddy’ Martin heat.
Morning 5.20 Thurles...without Moskovite Kilbarry Calling @ 9-4 [Bet Victor] She has shown promise in both runs so far
