Did anyone see that girl with all the tattoos, who was at Ascot on Tuesday, in the paper today? She said that the tattoos are all to do with fond memories of her childhood - one of them is a magpie drinking a bottle of poison FFS. I know she comes from Brixton but you still have to wonder what type of upbringing she must have had
About time Gay Kelleway had a winner at this meeting, I seem to remember her going close on a couple of occasions. Swing Alone ran okay in the Chesham here last year, and swerves a run in the Jersey Stakes to take his place in the Britannia off a mark of 84. It takes a bit of a leap of faith to assume he 'll outrun that mark today, but a couple of things give me hope; Gay Kelleway doesn't get many good horses, but she doesn't tilt at windmills either, so if this one had an entry in the Jersey Stakes, she must think a bit of him. This is his first run back after being gelded, and he has to be possible he'll benefit from that, though the opposite may also be true. Anyway, at 66/1 he's worth half a crown each way in my book.
Willie Carson has been relegated Annunciation for me the first for Hannon and Hughesie, 12/1. I think it's interesting that Hughes is on this one when the other ran 2nd to Dawn Approach in a listed contest. No bet though.
Ahern is about to put in the most impressive 2yo performance of the season. thats why they call me Boris Fenster
Fist bet of the week for me today-Nicholascopernicus to win the last.Up in class but will love the ground and the money is coming in fast
There you go, Hannon jr can't split them but Annunciation is twice the price and will beat his stablemate anyway
