2.10 ALL HELL LET LOOSE 20/1 & UN ACE 20/1- Sandra Hughes is in decent form (2 winners and a place from 6 runners in the last fortnight) and I think All Hell Let Loose is a horse that will improve a bundle for a rare outing on spring ground, having been campaigned in tough conditions in Ireland. Has always shown ability, has stamina to prove but the ground helps a lot toda and gets in off a cracking low weight. Un Ace has threatened to win something like this for ages and the likely strong pace will play to strengths. 2.50 JOSSES HILL 25/1 e.w - Has to prove jumping issues are gone but jumped well as the race went on at Kempton last time and was never better than at the line, sprinting away which gives me hope of improvement at the longer trip. Huge stamp of a horse, and if he doesn't go close to winning a big prize like this it would be really disappointing. Has bundles of potential but has to jump round. I'm just taking Vautour on today because he might not be right. Al Ferof runs in leg 2 of my Supreme Novice 2011 form treble. Glad he gets some nice ground, glad he goes there fresh, but has it all to do in a scintillating renewal, so I'll leave that be. 3.30 COLE HARDEN 7/1 Has been primed for once race only and he gets his ground. I would love Thistlecrack to win as he's a star but he will be playing catch me if you can, which is dangerous on this ground. Should be a thrilling race. 4.10 SALUBRIOUS on good ground, low weight looks like he may have been waiting for something like this. A very good horse on his day, festival form, and a smashing young jockey on board in Sean Bowen. At a huge price, LITTLE JOHN also gets my e/w vote. 4:50 Limini might show us there is another star Mare on the way and the other one who I'm looking forward to her racing is Hendo's Bloody Mary. Excited to watch them both. 5:30 Cheltenham SAMBREMONT 16/1 Gets in off a mark of 139 and goes beyond 3m for the first time. Stamina test will suit, and his form behind Black Hercules now looks fantastic.
Hope they've got a replacement starter on hand ..................... if not, just pluck someone from the Guinness village, they'd do a better job than that clown
Scary to think Bristol De Mai is only 5 years old. Worst jumping performance of the season from him but plenty to come.
Taglietelle in the next for me, expecting a saucy finish where he'll pasta lot of em. Free bet e/w saver on If In Doubt
Great run Wardy but a lot of these French imports peak early and that was his 14th career start. Still,as you say,he is an exciting prospect.
Great story Mullins told there. When he was still riding, had to do 10-07 in a bumper but was starving hungry. Said to Ted Walsh "Where's your lad Ruby". Ted phones Ruby (who's never ridden for Willie) and they put him up on this hard-pulling filly in the bumper. Ruby drops her out the back and cuts through the field of 18 to get her up on the line. Willie says to Ted "That's my next stable amateur". Brilliant
Terrible ride on Our Kaempler, never gave it a chance. If In Doubt looked like a very unfortunate loser!
2 places that will do me, form has been shocking this week. Our Kaempfer an unlucky 5th, got a bad pathway through.
Think Our Kaempfer got 5th thankfully but never put in that race properly although tbf he wasn't really closing at the end.
