Cheers for all the kind words today fellas been a hell of a day for me I could barely stand to look at the tv when Fingal Bay was running. When that went tits up all the pressure seemed to disappear and I was just happy with my day. Only had racing post commentary and radio on my phone for the last race and the radio kept breaking up whilst the commentary was saying Cause of Causes left with a lot to do. I'm thinking oh well that's that, then all of a sudden the radio signal comes back and the little ****er is over the last and clear, I couldn't believe it! I'm absolutely chuffed to bits with my winnings, and dare I say also ever so slightly disappointed I came so close to the scoop 6 without winning it. I never bet too big, small stakes for big profit is what I try. I'm a big believer in sticking to the 'don't bet more than you can afford to lose' rule. If you break that rule then for me the fun goes out of gambling. There's some extremely knowledgable people on this forum and some excellent tipsters so I'm happy for once that I can contribute something to the group. what a week it's been and there's still Gold Cup day to go. Come on Cue Card!
Ooooooft the civil servant myth! Think of the pension, the golden handshake, the flexi time (meaning you're productive at some point) the SICK LEAVE et al Maggie will be turning in her grave she never got 10% tax off your stake
It isn't like it used to be mate I've only been in 9 years the pension is piss poor, I'm on shifts not flexitime and as for sick leave, bloody hell they sack you for sneezing nowadays!
Thistlecrack's sister sold for 165,000 this evening, bought by the Snooks - Thistlecrack's owners. They also own his half-brother who runs in the Albert Bartlett tomorrow.
Before my time mate. But I'm taking the piss about the money, although it's not great I do **** all so the fact I get paid at all still amazes me at times!
I know who she is and all about her mate I was just too young when she was around to be affected by it. My dad and grandad are big thatcherites
