PN, would you please be able to let me know if there were any issues with her parading, travelling down or loading? After the race is fine btw I don't need live updates!
They've not shown any paddock shots but she seems to have got to the start without a problem. It's very windy at Newbury, so the fillies look relaxed considering.
Bloody hell 4th how unlucky is that? Not the greatest of luck in running entering the straight but couldn't go with the first 3 in the last furlong.
Nothing to be sorry about Princess, very unlucky not to get a place. Ride her nearer the pace next time?
how's your luck. That was the weight of my money that slowed her down! In all seriousness that yard's runners often come on for the run. I'd expect her to go in next time out (no doubt as favourite) before going on to bigger and better things. At a double figure price a chance had to be taken today though.
Hey Princess - the only things certain in life are death and taxes ... so no need to worry over the tip - keep them coming they are always great info ! Cheers ...
Probably wants further as well Oddy. Until a fortnight before the race she held an Oaks entry let's not forget. It was her first run though, we've seen very nice horses put in nothing more than a promising run first time out.
Princess - don't worry about the odd tip not going in. No one gets them right all the time. If everyone had gone level stakes over the last two days they'd all be showing profit. GGW - can I ask why that was your biggest bet of the flat season? That's really surprised me. Cumani horses always come on for their debut and if she's had problems (as you alluded to earlier) then there's no reason to think she'd be up to winning a hot Newbury maiden unless you know she's a group one horse and fully wound up.
Very gracious of you all, I just don't like passing on tips unless there is real confidence behind them! I shall have words with my source!
Bit late but been out, so good luck Oddy. They give you minor anaesthesia nowadays, didn't not so long ago. Sensible thing to have done. All the best.
The only thing i'd be annoyed about was if that much money was on i'd expect more vigorous effort from the jockey than a hands and heels finish. She was never asked to win the race.
Sure Bob, because it came from a source who has served me very well and is very well placed Bob. I didn't think she'd be out of the three. As you say there we plenty of unknowns but all things considered I weighed it up and felt 11/1 was huge. An above average maiden yes but the filly works evenly with Emirates Queen. On top of that it was an e/w bet, something I seldom do. To put it into perspective I've had bigger win singles that the size of the win bet today but in terms of total stake that was the biggest. It'll all change in the next few weeks though I'd have thought.
Did it well, didn't she. I'll be following her for the rest of the season, especially now I know she's a daughter of Attraction.
