Crystal Ocean's racing days are over after a career ending injury on the gallops at Newmarket

Two second places but the place double returned 8.25 pts, so the bet was well covered. Stylistique went down by a short head and was just held up in getting a clear run but I thought she might win. Boomer ran a solid race but just couldn't catch the Palmer filly. Cloak Of Spirits was very short in the betting and was disappointing. I was a bit surprised to see her at a mile on her second start and I reckon they will drop back next time. West End Girl was a typical "Muck and Nettles" result for Mark Johnston. Expecting his horses to run the same race twice is becoming a pipe dream for punters. She'll probably pop up next time and hose in at 20/1. It looked quite a mediocre renewal and it is no wonder it is 16/1 the field in the 1000 Guineas. Albigna gets her chance to strengthen her grip as favourite in the Moyglare and at this stage Andre Fabre's Tropbeau would be the other one of interest for me in the Guineas betting.

Well done, Reebok. Ignore the booing from the cheap seats.
