I remember alan kennedy scoring a 30-yard screamer, which was about all he did, but can't remember against who.

We all remember john kay rowing off the field. Quite a character - he lived in my village, and ther were a few stories relating to his drunken antics. One of which involved being pissed down the club, tring to take a fruit machine for a waltz. When footballers lived more inclusive lives...

Who the hell was steve whitworth?

I remember that game mate, under Malcolm Crosby I think, If I remember right he won 3 in a row first 3 and in true Sunderland fashion this earned him a contract, and we immediately went back to ****.

Didn't big Don get a hat-trick that day, he could play a bit that lad. Well, seemed like he could at the time to a 12 year old... Ha.

    Nee Marco like.

That was amazing. Weren't Millwall top and we were second at the time? After that result Millwall went steadily down the table and I think were relegated! That result must have crushed the life out of them.

If that's the same game, we stuffed them 6-0 and they dropped like a stone, straight in to next league.
Can you imagine? Top of the league and getting relegated!

Yeah, that was later in the 90s. I lived in Kennington, and every ****er in the local was Millwall. I got my fair share of stick, but not that day. I had a good chuckle at the end of the season. Was it 6 or 7 nowt?

Was 6 could have been a load more, we were unreal that day, I remember it vividly cos I was a Main Stand Roker Wing season ticket holder but a load of my pals who didn't go often went and we were in the Clock Stand.

    Was a great afternoon.

Was that not the 6-0 when Russell scored 4 and we overtook them to go top of the league?

I've got absolutely no idea about which was my first match, even though everybody else seems to remember theirs, but I do remember that this game was my youngest daughter's first, we did win 6-0 and Craig Russell did score four :emoticon-0100-smile

What a blinking day that was, and Craigy was her 'hero' for many years <party>

How come others can remember theirs (and I can even remember hers) and I've got nee idea about mine (please don't mention words like senile and bastard) :emoticon-0112-wonde

That would be one Peter Reid, trying to convince us that Nunez could actually play football, which quickly became obvious to us all that he couldn't. He was eventually substituted for a guy called Kevin Phillips ;)

Was Thomas Hauser also the name of a boxer who went up two places in the rankings after he died?
