Wagstaff missed soooo many chances. How come people only remember the ones that went in? Dreadful player surely? if he'd have been any good he'd have scored a lot more.....
It's not just about the name change for you though. You've attacked Allam for the debt comparing him unfavourably with Bartlett. Yet you posted the other day delighting in the form of Diame, a player whose signing did nothing to reduce the debt. Aren't you having your cake and eating it?
I don't think so. I'm on Planet Earth whilst some of you appear to be on Uranus! The report we got from the Italian fans was that he was like a flying machine but I have yet to see this. To be fair though it is far too early to call on Hernandez and it is rumoured that he is short on fitness. He has shown he can put the ball away so what he could do with a likewise partner up front is anyone's guess. I have high hopes for him but we have nobody at the moment who can play alongside him (imo).
Aluko is a decent squad player in the PL. He has pace and skill but his biggest problem is his decision making. He can beat a man but then feels the need to beat another when a simple pass would suffice. He's not the best team player......
Its going to be a really tough game, they've got some very good players and they'll be all guns blazing when they play us with no reason to hold back. I expect us to put up a good fight but eventually lose.
That sums him up perfectly. He's 'bound for glory' every time he gets the ball and that's no good at this level.
i read that liverpool often don't do well in the league game following a european game so i had a look at their games in 2010-11 onwards. of 23 league games that followed europa/champions league games, they won 8, drew 6, lost 9. none of the 4 european games they lost in that 23 were followed by another defeat and on only four of the 23 occasions did they get the same result in both games.
Do you know Cowboy I think you've been proved right eventually about Aluko. Although he did have a patch of form in between injuries a couple of years back where he looked like he had a great future. Steve Bruce got him a very good contract so he's flattered to deceive very successfully.
He is the perfect example of someone who acknowledges there is no I in team but thinks there has to be an I in win.
But he doesn't. When he gets the ball there is just him. He has ignored others in good scoring positions because he wants the glory. Better off at Doncaster.
Thats what the saying means. It means that you dont give a **** about the other players on your team and its all about you. Maybe its an american saying but its quite common for coaches here to say there is no I in team. Inevitably some smartass always says No but there is one in win.
A common saying as exemplified by BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson's comment on Balotelli's effort yesterday. Quote - "He lives in his own world- there is no i in team."
Please elaborate. How many chances did he miss, against whom and please justify your "dreadful player" question. Perhaps, I missed you point?
